Sensationalism.

Something happens somewhere by someone, in a manner that is not connected / related to me - other than I just hate said someone doing said something,.. therefore, I am going to cause and create a HUGE issue about how this someone is the problem with this country and must be stopped.

I then spend post after post, linking somewhat related content and data, that may / sort of / kind of relate to what I want everyone to lose their shit over.

I even post stories that a false. Shit that has never happened, but I will post it anyway, to prove how terrible said someone is.

It's all about throwing everything AND the kitchen skink, to ensure I cover all ground on how one person (who again, I do not like) did something, and that something will result in the galaxu collapsing onto in on itself, and wipe out all of existence.

It's sir-e-us.

I don't like subjects about clowns without their makeup, loud mimes, horses with only 3 horseshoes, or trolls that live on top of bridges.

Thankfully, we tend to avoid these subjects as a whole here.

Actually, I don't find them annoying,.. they are quite entertaining. And, I do feel better about myself, since these people seem to be afraid of their own shadow.

I don't know that any "annoy" me.

But I'm certainly quite tired of a few, all in P&N:

1. Evolution vs creationism

2. Global warming/climate change

3. Gay rights

4. 2nd amendment

Same stuff repeated/argued over-n-over-n-over......

For a while I was pretty tired of Stand Your ground stuff too.

My list goes something like:

- Police threads
- Tipping threads
- dmcowen threads
- OBLAHMA-or-whatever-the-fuck-his-name-is threads
- 90% of RedSquirrel posts (lulz)

I'd add sports threads but I just ignore them. Same with religion threads. Then again, I guess I ignore most of what I put in my list anyway, so whatever.

People complaining about inconsequential shit and looking to the forums to back them up on it. I also like the ones where the poster did something completely inconsiderate and assholish and are pissed at someone for calling them on it.

Stuff like:

"I can't open my window when the guy 3 apartments down smokes a cigarette. Should I complain to the landlord?"

or

"I hate it when cars blow their horns at me while I'm bicycling in the middle of the road in front of them. What a bunch of dicks.".

Of course the threads that annoy me are the main ones I find interesting as well. Righteous anger is definitely the most gratifying emotion. I treasure every poster that gives it to me on a daily basis.

basement dwellers who have never been a mile from their cave who will never undstand that most of the country does not have mass transit or its not a one size fit all solution for everybody. but God Damn they sure as shit know that you are wrong and they are right.
