Anything sloppy, stinky, spicy, or gassy.

It's not hard to figure out. This is why a steak house is your best bet on a first dinner date.

Anything messy. Anything with beans or milk products (lactose intolerant. Even the dietary aids aren't 100% effective)

Funny, because i actually have had ribs AND corn on the cobb on a first date... it was huge beef ribs too. Girl took me to a family picnic, and that's what her mother made.

As for me, it would probably be crab legs. I did it once, and it was just too messy. When i eat crab legs at home, i sometimes get so fed up with the shell cracker that i just bite the shell apart... and well, doing that in public, especially for a first date, isn't the best first impression.

BTW, we have a Love and Relationship forum now as well.

A good crab restaurant will have split the legs enough to make eating them pretty easy.

Well, you still need to snap them... and dig the meat out with the fork. At home, i just scrape the meat out with my teeth or suck out the meat. I'm a sloppy eater though.

Nothing with garlic, bleu cheese, or spinach. No messy foods like lobsters or long pastas.
No fish unless you both are ordering the same thing.
