when making a business card i think the way things are arranged in page and especially the colors are most important; for fonts you need something that is easy readable and that's all

When he said it should be so good that even if they don't like you they won't throw it out. He has a point, I'd almost keep something like that around just to make fun of it and as a tool for showing people what not to do.

Personally, I despise business cards. I guess they made a lot more sense in the past, but now they just seem like a waste. I've never been fond of the overly pushy self-promotion stuff, and business cards feel that way to me (I'm not arguing their success though, and in fact self promotion is one of the key things that successful people seem to have in common).
