I've been using Arial for a while since I don't like Times New Roman much. Recently, a coworker sent a document in Palatino Linotype. Since then I've only been using this font. It's great

For what?

Screen: Verdana wherever possible, Courier New for code or whatever else needs monospace.

Print: Arial for headings, Times New Roman for body text.

I really have an endless list. Then again, I'm a designer. What kind of application are you talking about? Screen? Print? Large bodies of text? Header? The list goes on and on.

Gah, it REALLY bothers me to see code not in monospace, it's like someone scraping their fork against their teeth.
