No problem. Someone had to defend the people, even those who no longer are at Anandtech, that actually did grow up on lemon ice cream. It wasn't common for me, but it is certainly common for others around the world. Thanks for being a good sport -- this has been fun to watch throughout the morning/afternoon.
Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry have always been the classic flavors. I've never seen lavender and saffron widely sold in grocery stores.
Just use the cone a spit cup, add ice cream.Anyone know of a place that does a tobacco ice cream? I'd like to try that some time but it's pretty rare.

I think it has to do with the fat. It's milk fat in gelato, butter fat in ice cream (or maybe the reverse, I forget)
The black licorice we sometimes carry has that really nice, dense, sweet, fatty, ice cream taste followed by a sharp anise flavor that lingers. You either love it or hate it.probably some form of anise or castor flavor
Le Mòn is french for lemon
This is sarcasm right? Because that doesn't make sense as that accented o isn't a word and removing this translates to 'the mine'.
In Canada lemon is not a flavor I've ever seen, classics are strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla but we also have another classic of orange pineapple.
