I lost my school email early last year. They ga e me under a month to change any accounts over. Finally found somewhere it was still needed. My kids game account has parent protection enabled with that email address. Guess they just need to age out of it or something. Epic has been unhelpful on fixing anything.

The enshitification of youtube is accelerating. "We know you hit back to the search results list so we decided that what you want is for the video you just clicked away from to appear in a popup window and keep playing!"

They also made the playback speed control a premium option.

I've started to open videos in tabs instead of clicking through. That way I can go back to a known starting point without shenanigans.

I do that often, open a bunch of videos that look interesting then go back and watch them.

I find in the past yearish maybe it randomly takes lot of effort to get a video to actually start though, it will sit there and spin and have to keep hitting refresh, sometimes copy and paste the URL into a new tab even. It's hit and miss though, doesn't always do it.

Fedex is usually pretty good here, but if the package requires signature and you're not home then it turns into a nightmare. You can't just go and pick it up during regular business hours, you have to actually call and then schedule a time to go pick it up. So that means you need to be available during business hours, to make that call, and then to go pick it up. Can't just easily swing by during your lunch or something.

Fedex has a service called smart post, where they contracted the usps to do the last mile delivery. Basically would drop a net bag full of small packages at the post office for delivery. They have been keeping the packages in house as their network expands.

I just discovered I have a leak under my sink, I really hate plumbing since it always involved trying to work in tight spaces that are hard to see what you're doing. I also have a leak in the shower that I've been neglecting. The sink one is kind of urgent as it's actually causing damage. It just so happens it was slowly filling a container that was stored in the back at some point and now it overflowed so who knows how long it's been going on.

I might just hire this out, I really don't feel like wasting a day off trying to figure this out. It's a pain working under there since it's such a cramped space. It looks like it's leaking somewhere at the faucet connection but I'm actually on shift right now so couldn't really spend much time on it.

Lost my cat choker somewhere. I did a tree job yesterday and had to yard some logs across a creek. Went to get my choker out of the truck, and couldn't find it. Got home today and tore the truck apart, and it isn't there. Not sure where I could've left it :^/

It was a little fucked anyway. I used with my boss to drag a broken top out of the tree, and the fucker bladed up on the bobcat when I specifically told him not to. He put a sharp crease in the cable. I set it up for a straight pull back, and it would've worked perfectly. Fucker thinks he knows everything. He needs to stay in his lane, and follow directions :^S

Holy shit! Just checked prices, and they just about doubled since 2021. I paid $37 for the choker then, and it costs $67 now :^(

Found a cheaper option for $60 shipped, but I had to get 14' rather than the 12' I wanted. Not the biggest deal, but it's longer than I need. 12' handled everything I did before.

Pretty sure it found it's people. That's how the system works. No point in complaining or fighting it. You just accept the cat that was distributed to you.
