At 4:30 this morning our alpha male cat decided to change places on the bed, kicking one of the other cats off, setting off a chain reaction. Now awake, one cat went and used the litter box without covering up and another cat puked under the bed. I got out of bed to deal with the litter box and puke which was the signal that food would be coming forth so cats were swarming. While I was preparing food, the alpha male who is very old and mobility impaired got up to use the litter box and missed, front legs in , back legs out.

I’m off work today and had planned to sleep in (6:00 or so).

My black cat has chronic diarrhea it's so annoying because it makes a mess in the litter box and stinks so much and he goes like 10 times a day so when I'm home I'm constantly cleaning it and he'll be digging for like 15 minutes before going so if there's anything already in there is now scrambled in small chunks. I am thankful that he doesn't miss though...

Interestingly *today* they dropped off a package at my house that wasn't mine. I walk it to the address and sure enough it's the house in the picture for *my* package yesterday. Look in my mailbox and there's the one I was supposed to get. Sigh.

So, it all worked out pretty easily? Sucks you have to handle last mile delivery for them, but at least nothing disappeared, with the ensuing BS to get what you ordered.

This isn't as much a problem as it is a WTF.

My phone was in my cargo pocket, and I thought I heard some kind of beep. It didn't sound like any of my notification sounds, and I'm not sure I even heard anything at all it was so faint. I was busy doing stuff, and just woke the display up now. It had this text on the screen(spaces are intentional)...

tobacco milk abrupt

I have no idea wtf that is, or where it came from. I bar stuff in general from showing on the lock screen. It displays the time, and if there's music playing, it'll show track info. Otherwise, I get notified if someone tried to contact me, but there's no details. Just an icon. I unlocked the phone, and nothing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hahahaha

So when I dropped my neighbor's package off at his house, I saw a package on his doorstep. Come home, post my little message here, check my deliveries... Oh, FedEx delivered my package....

To him. It's the one on his porch...

2nd day in a row...

The front tree's roots have gotten under the sidewalk at the in-laws house for years. Last week they finally started to worry if someone might trip, so I had called several places for estimates. Luckily the tree's trunk is less than 19 inches in diameter, so no need to file for a permit with City of Austin (its located within the Austin city limited, but also part of Williamson County.. so yay more taxes!)

1. Two dudes quoted $1k. Chop it, stump grind, remove all roots. They were recommend by a friend. Not a company though.
2. Someone who has been working my neighbors lawn for years. $800 for chopping it, but no stump grind. He will drill holes and put in glyphosate or something and come back to remove the stump and root in a month.
3. A small crew that has good reviews on Nextdoor and FB. $900 for chopping, stump grinding and root removal.
4. Also a small crews with good reviews on Nextdoor and FB. $900 for chopping, stump grinding, root removal, and also trimming a section of the second tree in the front yard for free.

Since the original tree was way too close to the sidewalk, once the old tree is removed, we will need to dig another hole a few feet away to put in a new tree (per HoA)

Wife likes #2 because we knew the guy (but never used him with our yard works) and he is very nice. Plus cheapest. However, his method will takes too long.

#3 and #4 are registered and insured. Good reputation. But #4 added the free tree trimming on the other tree and he did more explanation on how he will approach.

Wife's been trying to decided between #2, 3 and 4 the whole day.... $100 less to save a few bucks?

I like #4, but she is still deciding.

Also need to file an architectural change plan with HoA (even though its tree stuff) and they have to approve it first..

HoA i think i don't like you!

I'm skeptical of tree pruning. Trees can generally handle themselves. Pruning is to satisfy human desires.

#2 sounds weird. Glyphosate will do fuck all for the removal process. I'd question if he has any idea what he's doing.

Yeah, that's why even thought he is such a nice guy, i think i will pass.

The pruning of the second tree is needed because one limb is already over the root, and two others were over the neighbor's driveway.
