Trying to transfer some money into my Synchrony bank saving account, but it kept asking me for a phone number to send a verification link. I entered the phone number which i had used for years, also used to opened the account, but it kept telling me "Please enter an alternate phone number".

Tried two other numbers and same issue. Called their support and was told there might be some update which had screwed the system, since this only started happening in Nov and I was not the only one experiencing it.

Come on man, I just want to add money!

On Tuesday, Nov 4, I saw the first house this year with all the holiday lights and everything.
10 years ago I would consider egging it, but eggs are like $7/dozen these days, so I'll have to let it go.

One of the local radio stations started playing 24/7 Christmas music a couple of days ago. Lowe's had their full Christmas display out over a month ago.

The War on Christmas™ is only because Christmas is invading other holidays. This needs to stop.

There are a couple of houses in my general neighborhood who already have the x-mas decorations up. One is the family who own the big plumbing biz here. They ALWAYS put theirs out as soon as Halloween is over.

I was trying to book a vacation package on costco website and got all the way to the end except the terms and condition checkbox would not show me the content of the popup so I could not agree to it. So I had to call them and talk to a person in order to book it :colbert:

edit: great, misspelled my niece's last name. now on the phone again to fix it.

One of my banks has a "go paperless" option that never completes. Once you agree to the terms, it spins and spins. Going paperless wouldn't save me any money but paper statements are kind of dumb.

I kept a negative balance (like -0.51)at my td visa just to force them to send me a statement xd.

I don't use that card at all and TD pisses me off.

I can't stream my fandango/vudu movies on my nvidia shield. They have some sort of new data collection bs (Versant) I need to opt out of but the screen keeps locking up. I would need to agree to have my data shared or sold to watch my movies. To make matters worse this a per device thing so there is no way to universally opt out. Not only that we have to fill out a form for each damn device we use. The system also uses cookies so if you clear your cookies you have to opt out once again. I cant' even opt out using my PC because the submit button is unclickable on the form page.

This site is now part of Versant. By continuing, you agree to our Terms. You also acknowledge that our updated Privacy Policy applies, including your existing data. For info on your data rights, click “Your Privacy Choices” or see “Your Rights” in our Privacy Policy.

We and our partners also use tools on this site to provide the services, personalize your experience, and for analytics, marketing, and advertising. If you previously opted out of selling, sharing, or targeted advertising on this site, you will need to update your Privacy Choice.

I won't be spend another dime on their site. See how this works?

It's gonna be cold tonight, so I got Spot's cathouse ready for winter. My idea of lining it with potatochip bags didn't work. The inside was lumpier than I remembered, and I couldn't get the tape to stick. I just folded it in place, and used the little bit of thermal bubblewrap I had last year, with the normal bedding.

I got a corrugated plastic vegetable box to cut into sections. My idea was to glue the poatochip bag material to that, and line her box with it. However, I kind of like the box, and it has a lot of holes and folds in inconvenient places, so I bailed on that. I also don't have the glue handy to make it work. Ideally, what I'd like is a plastic Trump campaign sign. I can cut it and make the folds where I want, and finally he will have done something useful.

I hadn't thought about that. Those corrugated campaign signs would make good insulation. Maybe grab a stack of "We buy ugly houses" signs? People just leave them out on the curb.

Heat it in the bunsen burner and poke a hole with a red hot wire?
I'm slowly getting better at glasswork, but I wanted to try out the drill press with it.

New FWP is that the USPS is back to their old habits. I was supposed to get something Friday and it's still just bouncing around the city. Tomorrow is a holiday, so it'll be Wednesday at least.
