Daughters out on a school camping thing for a few days, champagne is in the fridge, I have a couple of nice dover soles ready to grill, the kinky box is on standby for later...

Just got a phone call, "can you come and pick her up? She has a temperature and is throwing up"

😔
I guess if she's not feeling well, you can drug her up so she sleeps like a brick and you guys can still get your freak on!

Not today, but my wife's friend turns 50 and is having a birthday party down in SoCal this weekend. This friend is pretty well off, I guess the family or her husband rented out some art gallery on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and it's a black tie event. 1. Not looking forward to driving 4-6 hours tomorrow depending on traffic. 2. Not really looking forward to staying in an AirBnB. 3. Definitely not looking forward to having to dress up. 4. I'm judging here, but I'm going to assume there's going to be a bunch of snobs at this thing (although I'll admit, the friend is very down to earth and since I've known her, has never acted like she has $). So yea, weekend is completely shot lol
The secret is drinking heavily and/or serious drugs!

Honestly though, just go and enjoy! There'll be fancy food and fancy nibbles. You're going because they want you there. Go enjoy yourself!

Ha nah I'm not gonna get hammered because I'll be the one having to drive the 4 hours the next day! But yea I'm mostly just complaining because it seems a bit much. I'll have my first drink then settle in.

Are you crazy? Waiting till afternoon trying to get through LA traffic is a life suck lmao. Actually, I don't really know how bad it would be on a Sunday afternoon. In the past when we would leave from Disneyland we would leave pretty early and miss any traffic in that hellscape.

Wait. This is a friend of the wife?

She can drive! (The wife, not the friend. Although that would also be a solution)

I drove the entire length of I-5 through LA on a Sunday afternoon once. It was like a zombie movie; I all but had the freeway to myself. It was not the usual experience of driving in LA: spending quality time examining my life choices.

Setup plex in new vm, got all the libraries setup, buy win11 key and tried to upgrade vm to w11. No dice, since I created a wrong vm using the DISM image... So now I am creating W11 vm, imstalling plex there and hoping I can migrate the library.

Hasn't worked the two times I tried before...

Aldi changed their jarred sliced jalapeño supplier, and now they're soft instead of crisp. Based on the jar shape, they changed awhile ago. I hadn't bought in awhile, cause I overbought the earlier supplier. Kept forgetting I already had some, and bought more. I guess my screwup worked in my favor for a change.

I'll have to sample other brands, and see if I can find one that has crisp peppers.

edit:
If anyone cares, I think the old good brand was Mezzetta repackaged for aldi. The jars look the same, and reviews say they have crunch. Gonna have to keep my eyes open for them.

I was heading to my truck coming out of Costco. I walk pretty fast but I was in a hurry to get home to catch the Seahawks game so I was walking pretty fast. There was a woman like 30 feet behind me.

Apparently she opened her hatch with a remote. I looked away for one second and then bam. My head collided with her hatch.

So after being kidnapped from Costco parking lot, the first thing you can think of doing is post here, instead of calling the police?

So I figure I'll look at replacement fan for my Thermalright PS120SE. My cooler was 45 bux, one fan is going for 23. So it is cheaper for me to buy the cooler again :colbert:
