Bought an Intel 13600k today, it didn't come with the Intel Master Key so I can get Modern Warfare and a few other games for free. I called BB and of course got no help. 1 person didn't know there were even offers with Intel CPU's and the other told me to take it up with Intel as he didn't think there was anything he can do. Looking at the confusing ass Intel page that lists all the promotions, it looks like one has to be redeemed by 12/31 (of course lol) Fat chance I'll have a code by then, probably won't even have it figured out.
And Intel's incredibly stupid in how they set this shit up, they could not have made it more difficult if they tried. Why can't I go to Intel's offer page and punch in a serial number and proof I bought it from a store that's on their promo list? And they give me the damn key? They leave it up to Newegg, Best Buy, Microcenter or whoever to handle this. And from Googling, it looks like a decent number of people have this same issue. BB seems like they might fix it, but I gotta wait 48 hours and then wait for them to get me the code. By that time I won't get MW2 or whichever of the games expires tomorrow *BOOO*
And as always Best Buy has elite level 3 tech's doing their support
"what's the item?" <--- them
"13600k" <---- me
"um, is that Intel?" <--- them
Ok I forgot to say Intel, but you work for Geek Squad so how the hell do you not know that? Oh yeah, because you work for Geek Squad. And this was 1 of the people "helping" me lol. I might as well face the fact I probably won't end up getting shit. I even read somewhere Intel ran out of MW2 codes which with my luck wouldn't surprise me lol.
