Ours came back on a little bit ago. Around 36 hours without power before they got it back on. Got the generator and all the cables put back up, but I think since I ran it for so many hours this time, I think I will need to do an oil change before using it again.

All I know is my back (had previous back surgery) is killing me from getting it out and set up, starting it, and changing the propane tanks. It really gets me every time I have to use it. But I would rather deal with some pain over throwing out $400 - $500 worth of food if I didn't have the generator.

At this point you may as well install a permanent one.
 
I have rolls of toiletpaper all over the place for blowing my nose. With all the covid stuff, I haven't been eating out nearly as much, so I no longer have a cache of napkins. Easier on my wallet and waistline, but chunky toiletpaper rolls are inconvenient, and look stupid.
 
I typically reuse napkins a couple times before I toss them in the trash, or the wood stove when it's cold out. Toiletpaper is pretty much single use only, and it doesn't hold up as well during that single use.
 
my credit card is put on hold because MC compliance has a problem with my wife's name... I have been with them for at least 15 years...

That will likely be the next thing I do. We lose power frequently enough (and for long periods) for a big expense like that to be justified.

Of all the places I lived before moving to NC, I never had a need for a generator. Sure I could lose power for freak weather events like ice storms or tornadoes, but it was never anywhere as bad as it is down here. Just about any road or street you drive on down here has power lines running underneath branches, and just about a steady breeze above 20 mph will bring down branches and cause the power to go out. Plus, it routinely takes them 1-4 days to get the power back on.

Then about 5 years ago, after yet another power outage for no known reason, I said "F this" and I drove with my son up to a Tractor Supply store and bought the biggest portable generator they sold. Let's just say it's been well used since I bought it.
 
I have an old iphone 6 that I use when I run (thanks for Red Pocket for a $5 monthly plan which is perfect for this..my primary phone is S20 Ultra which would be a beast of a phone to run with)...

I have had an itune account for forever (I had the first few iphones when they came out) and was cleaning up my music library...apparently apple forced a copy of U2's End of Innocence album when it came out but I couldn't delete the songs from my phone...I would long press the song, select DELETE FROM LIBRARY and then confirm the DELETE and a few minutes later all of the songs on the album were back on phone...

After googling this, apparently Apple provided a tool about 6 years ago that allowed you to delete the album from your library but this tool is no longer available...the only way to delete these songs is to call Apple Support and have them delete the album for you...

WTF kind of crap is that??? when I run, I usually put the songs in shuffle mode so sometimes it would randomly play these songs so that is why I want them deleted...

At least when you are on hold with Apple, you can pick your hold music (popular, jazz or none)...

You deleted them from the phone but the way iCloud and iTunes Match integrate with Apple Music lets you play anything from your library whether it's on your phone or not then it dynamically caches stuff as you play. I hate that it does this for videos and pictures too because it will delete something from your phone literally while you are editing it in iMovie. Dumb. It's supposed to be transparent and act like you have a 2TB phone but I had to turn off iCloud to get anything done. That meant my phone didn't have enough storage for everything so even that option didn't work right.

Users cannot delete this 'free gift album'...Apple support has to do it...

Yes. I'm aware. It was a huge deal for many years. Very short-sighted of them. Just saying that it's there in the cloud with all your iTunes purchases and iTunes Match library. Your phone will stream it from the cloud and cache it on the device again unless you get out of your cloud library regardless of what you do on the device.
 
Only got like five kids last night, so now I have about 50 full-size candy bars I need to do something with. All chocolate stuff.
 
It was late last night (the stores would close at 10 p.m.) and I forgot this morning so I stopped by the stores around 9 p.m. tonight and all the 1/2 priced Halloween candies were gone except the corn candies. Until next year I reckon.
 
I woke up and looked at the alarm clock and it said 5:25. 5 minutes before the alarm goes off so I went ahead and got in the shower. I got dressed and went to kiss the wife goodbye and she looked at the clock and says "You know it's not even 5 yet?". Apparently she didn't set the alarm clock. Since the clock is always 10 minutes fast I got ready for work at 4:15 in the morning....

I went to Target yesterday and they were only 30% off. I may stop by today to see what's up. Wife really likes the rice krisp M&Ms which are a special variant of their normal crispy M&Ms but only sold during Halloween.
 
Really wanted coffee today at work but we had run out. The only person to blame is myself because I'm the only one in the office lol.
 
I got new touchscreen leather gloves for driving. But the fingerprint sensor on the back won't work with gloves. So I have to press the power button and type in the password.
 
I would be drinking a yoghurt and fruit smoothie, but I'm inhibited to use the blender at this time of night because it makes too much noise and might disturb the neighbours.

I did not double check my work schedule to see if there was two people on 12h shift today. Turns out there was, I could have brought my PC home on my last shift and I did not need to warm up the truck, take the snow off, and overall deal with all that this morning, since I was suppose to work at home. Only need one person in the office and it's whoever is on 12h.

So I brought my computer home to try to be on time, and now I got hit with the dreaded windows update "do not turn off your computer" crap. Yeah this could be a while... I don't understand why windows update is so bloody slow. I have time to install Linux on a bare metal system and fully update it, in the time it takes for Windows update to do one round of updates.
