Youngest grandson is coming from CA to visit on Amtrak. Train was 4 hours late leaving Sacramento...then delayed again in Portland. Train that was due at 6 pm is now due at 0230...then I get to drive 75 miles home. :(

My gf was having a shit, and i had a full bladder.i started pissing in her wine glasses and pouring them into the sink.Im guessing her shit must of stopped abruptly(never heard her come in)She caught me cock in hand pissing in her treasured wine glass.Something was lost in that moment never to be regained.

Should have just pissed into the toilet between her legs. Missed a great bonding opportunity.

Policymakers really need to do something to make passenger rail more viable in some of these heavily traveled corridors, including connections between CA and WA, NY to DC, and Milwaukee to Chicago. 4 hour delay is unacceptable but somehow that is the norm with Amtrak.

Train finally arrived in Olympia just before 0300...we got home about 0445. Long-ass day.

I can't really blame Amtrak for the delay earlier...police and fire department activity on/along the tracks is kind of out of their control...but the maintenance issue in Portland that caused another 4 hour delay.......

Train that was due to arrive at 6 pm finally arrived almost 9 hours late. <sigh>

If you own a classic auto like that...why aren't you doing the work yourself? They're stupidly simple...sourcing parts is the most difficult part of it.
That would require me to get my hands dirty like a common peasant. That is not going to fly.

Actually I need the to adjust the solid lifters on the 327 and that is something I am not going to do. Minor stuff, yes. This is not something I want to do.

Wife used up the butter in the butter dish. She did put a new block in the butter dish, but didn't bother to take off the wrapper...

See...now me, I'd hate to train another one...but if you would have to learn how to serve a new woman...well, different strokes.

My washing machine is leaking from the bottom. I could probably fix it but it's 15 years old and very small capacity, so I bought a new one instead. Now I have to deal with a leaky washing machine for the next 4 weeks.

Haha, I did order from Costco. They said it would be here by the end of August and I'm assuming it will take a week to get it installed, so that's 4 weeks. The dryer was in stock but not the washer. In fact no stores had the washer we wanted in stock. We looked at several other brands as well and they all had stock issues. Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of options because we have such a small closet for the W/D that only a few models actually fit.

I bought our w/d from Costco last year. Took 2-3 weeks for delivery...the delivery team SHOULD install when they deliver.

When we were shopping for a new dishwasher a few weeks back, if Lowes didn't have it available in stock in the store, most were 4-6 weeks out for delivery.

Yes as I understand it most places don't have W/D in stock and they just have floor models on display. We added up the cost at Coscto versus other places and it was cheapest to get it at Costco because Costco a) didn't charge for the stacking rack needed to make the unit stackable, b) didn't charge for new water hoses, c) didn't charge for appliance haul away. We also have the peace of mind that both units have an extra year of warranty covered by Costco should something go wrong.

Made the grass shorter today. First time in about a month. Waste of my time...

I haven't watered mine this year...and we haven't had enough rain to make it grow...or stay green, so no mowing for me for the past couple of weeks.

Yesterday, we took our granddaughter "home" to where she lives in Federal Way, (between Seattle and Tacoma for those who don't live here) About a 2-1/2 hour drive each way. We got home around 8:30 pm. My wife and I were watching TV, youngest grandson (age 16) who is visiting from CA was upstairs on the phone with his dad. He heard a loud noise outside, looked out the window in time to see someone he recognized as NOT one of the people who lived there...and saw him throw a huge rock into the rear window of the neighbors' car. He yelled "HEY!" Out the window...and the guy ran away. Grandson came downstairs, to,d me what he had seen, and we went outside to see WTF was going on. Saw the neighbor outside looking around, and he told us both the front windshield and rear window had been smashed. My grandson told him what he had seen, a description of the guy, and what direction he had gone. We both shined iur flashlights down the street...and there he was, wandering around the street.
The neighbor hustled down the street to catch the guy, I started going that direction when the lady of the house came out, all freaked out. I told her what was happening...she said, "I'm going to get my pistol!", and asked me to go make sure her fellow was ok...and let him know the police were on the way.
I hobbled down the street, he and I kept the guy contained so he couldn't wander off. It was pretty obvious something was wrong with him...drunk, drugs, or mental.
About that time, another neighbor heard the commotion and came running out. "That's my brother, he's mentally ill. Please don't hurt him!"
The cops showed up, restrained him, tried to talk to him, couldn't get a lucid response...called the aid car to check him out, handcuffed him, and the aid car finally loaded him up and transported him to the local hospital...and told the neighbor his brother would most likely be sent to the local state mental hospital for evaluation...and to try to get him stabilized on his meds again.
We all gave our statements to the cops and went home. Excitement over for the evening.
This afternoon, the neighbor whose car got fucked up came over and asked for my grandson.
Thanked him profusely...without his identification, odds are, no one would have known what happened or who did it.
Handed him a thank you card...with $100 inside. Stunned my grandson...No one had ever done anything like that for him.
He's the hero of the neighborhood...at least for now.

(sorry for the novella...thought it should be told)

Wife caught me glancing at the neighbor who was out in her bikini. No shit show, my wife said something about how she is confident she is more fun.
