I'm taking the eight hour HAZWOPER refresher online. For this class the instructor decided to tape it as a conversation with a second person in the studio. The second person will occasionally ask a scripted question. The person has the trapped coyote look. "Eight hours, I can do this. Only 7:50 to go. Oh god! I could strangle myself with the mic cord. I could strangle him with the mic cord. 7:48 to go."

Consider yourself lucky, I have to take the 40 hour class again. Yuck!

Bought a $30 DrillMaster trim router at Harbor Freight then found the higher-spec 2HP Harbor Freight DrillMaster router at Goodwill before I even took the original out of the shopping bag... also $30. Had to return it and ended up wasting my 20% off coupon. Is "lost my coupon due to good fortune and abundance" a FWP? Yeah, I think that qualifies.

Speaking of good fortune, I got the router(s) for fixing up someone's custom arcade cabinet that was also found at Goodwill for only $20. It was gutted but it has what I now believe are genuine Suzo-Happ controls though the workmanship was EXTREMELY bad. I get the impression that it was an abandoned project that was never finished but the stuff that was done was shockingly bad... like, nailed-in marque, a tape-on-Lexan bezel, and T-Molding that was installed without routing a slot... by cutting off the rib and then nailing/gluing it on. WTF?!

I already had a couple arcade PCBs, a Neo Geo MVS MV-1FZ and a Neo Geo MVS MV-1C which I just traded my Neo Geo MVS MV-1 (original single-slot) for. I also already had a JAMMA wire harness, an arcade PSU, and even a Gonbes GBS-8200 (JAMMA to VGA adapter). That's everything missing, really, so I could've had this thing running in minutes. I just don't think it's worth it without refurbishing and that's going to take effort. In particular, air think a widescreen LCD is an abomination for an arcade cabinet so I ordered some new Makvision tri-sync arcade CRTs. The 38" is WAY too large to fit (bench monitor for now) and the 29" is going to take some effort since I only have 24" between the side panels and it's just barely over 24" wide at the mounts.

Good point. But I think it's going to be a while before we see 4k porn. The reason I say that is that a lot of the stuff I download is still very low resolution. A lot of it is still 240p. That's just crazy.

But that may be because I only download stuff that's free. If you're willing to pay though, maybe things are different.

I hadn't really thought much about this but I can think of a couple of reasons why very low resolutions are still around.

First, there's a lot of really, really old shit on the free porn sites. So if something was originally recorded at 240p, there's not much you can do about that unless you want spend a shit load of money trying to scale them up.

Second, bandwidth costs money. If you can get away with giving the free customers shit that's so low res, then the leachers don't cost you as much.

Finally, most normal people can't afford really high quality smart phones. I know people that still use ancient flip phones. So you're not going to have the kind of unlimited storage you need to shoot hundreds of hi res pics and video.
