So...we're sitting here watching pre-season football...and the damned dishwasher decides to start all by itself. :confused_old: That would be fine if it had loaded itself...but no. Rewashing yesterday's already washed dishes.
I guess that means it's time to replace it. :(

Had to go out back for a minute, and turned on the outside light. That drew my resident hornets. They were clumped around the light, and one of them got in the house. Getting really tired of those things...

Honey bees and bumble bees are fine. Wasps and hornets...nuke the bastards.

I'm getting close... I don't like using chemicals, and I don't like fucking up other critter's gigs, but those things scare me. They're actually fairly docile as far as stingy things go, but they're intimidating. They're huge, and if they did happen to sting, it would hurt like a SOB. I'm trying to just get to cool weather, and we can part company, but I don't know if I can hold out.

I was just locked out of my car for over two hours. Had a key, but key wouldn't unlock the doors. :confounded:Wiggled key in door lock forever to no avail. Baking in 99° Texas sun on asphalt parking lot. I had to call in for help.
Good thing my help had skinny arms. Good thing the rear window was down a tad. And good thing I have rear seats that fold down.
Had to reach arm in through the rear window gap with a lug wrench. Whacked the seat-back release button with the wrench, to fold down the rear seat-back ... thanks to someone pushing inward from the trunk simultaneously. Then ... crawled into the trunk ... eased through the opening into the cabin on top of lowered seat, and finally ... unlocked the door from within. :relieved:

My phone was in the locked car. Had to borrow from a cute cashier.

I've been sick for going on two weeks now. Got heat exhaustion working in the asshole of the county, and I think I caught aids or something. Anyway, my back also went out, but it was starting to feel ok yesterday, and even a bit better this morning. Had a coughing fit right after getting up, and fucked up my back again :^S

Did you try putting the key in the other way?

I made 20 bucks an hour in 2006. And it had 15% bonus for being the D-shift. And it had automatic overtime so at the end of the year I worked 2200 hours but got paid for 2400 hours.
I think I made 61 thousand in 2007.

Its all gone to shit now. Theres no way I can retire and in fact I won't be able to save for emergencies either.
I keep hearing about all the wonderful opportunities in America. Damned if I see them. Maybe I'm just dense.

Hell, Shorty...you're working. IME, it's ALWAYS easier to find a job when you already have one than when you don't. Hang in there...polish your resume...keep looking for a better job.

You need to try to find a job like mine that is super cushy and pays a lot. I almost feel bad that I make more than most of the techs that actually go out and fix stuff. I tell them it's broken, they go fix it. :p
