They probably hated me a few weeks ago before I mowed my lawn lol. It got like 1 foot high, don't think I've ever had it go that high before. It just kept raining and the days it didn't rain I was working. At least I did contribute to feeding the bees, I had flowers in there that I've never even seen before in a residential setting.

Get one of those dirt cheap tarps from Harbor Freight, cut it into strips and with a little duct tape cover them up until Thanksgiving. Just as much work as actually taking them down but you don't have to put them back up!

Haha that's great. I wonder if rich people are legit mad in a situation like that, or if they just laugh it off like "haha first world problem, I guess this older model from last year will have to do. ".

I know quite a few rich folk and they get absurdly pissed. Like beyond pissed the fuck off, they think that you should be on your knees thanking them that they gave you money in exchange for XXX service or product and most people do. When that one person comes along and says "nope, don't care how much you offer" they absolutely lose their shit because all of a sudden they aren't "gods" anymore. This is a generalization of course and not all rich people are like that but the vast majority I know are.

True story, I know a plumber who went to quote a job at some obnoxiously rich fuckers house. Off the bat they treated him like total shit, as he put it like he was their kid and he had to work extra hard for his allowance. Guy said sorry but my company isn't right for you, let me give you some references for other companies that can better suit your needs. They lost their damn minds because he refused to work for them, despite never being in any business even related to the plumbing business they started a plumbing business to try and compete with him and flat out told him they were going to put him out of business. Didn't work, he's still doing well with his business today but that's the type of lengths some crazy ass rich folk will go to.

I was trying to upgrade debian to testing, but none of the fun stuff was showing up. No new kernel, no xfce, no nothin'. I fooled with it for almost an hour before I realized I had my sources list pointing to security updates only :bangs head:

Currently downloading ~2gb of updates, and will soon be on stretch

@Darwin333 People amaze me.

My bro is a plumber, 10th grade education, 40 years experience. The best. I would never tell him that but it's true. He gets calls around the state for advice.

I was at a high brow event, indoor tennis, and this guy says that I look familiar. He lives in/owns a whole block downtown (big $$ for us). I know him through 2 ways. My bro slept in his basement until he knew that the boiler was working right. And my upper class friend house sat for him back in the day which is probably why he remembers me...her wedding/stuff.

So I tell him that my bro is his plumber. He just walks off. No eff you or anything. I'm not offended but it's just strange. My bro's making bank though.

Haha wow that's crazy. I guess a lot of them really feel more entitled. I guess look at that influenza kid or w/e and his parents. Felt he should not have to face charges for murdering people because he's rich.

Flew into San Diego from Vegas in the Sim. While on approach another plane was landing at the same time. I said screw this, I'm not going around. As I was making my landing and since dude was in front of me the wake turbulence completely jerked my plane to the left and I hit the ground like an Fing rock. So I throttled up and had to do a damn go around anyway since I missed the runway and took off from the damn taxiway. As I'm coming in for another try here comes a nice Southwest 737. Once again I'm told to go around. I promptly told the computer where to go. As I came in right on the center line with perfect pitch my plane once again violently banked to the left and I landed right on the edge of the runway.

After that crap I decided to turn off the wake turbulence feature in my weather engine for the Sim. What a complete and utter disaster. FSX's ATC sucks. If they had a half way decent ATC those planes would have been doing a holding pattern and given me priority.

I found a new definition for annoyance. I sneezed in the shower and got a flowing bloody nose. It didn't hurt, I wasn't going to die, but bloody hell was it annoying. Trying to get clean in the middle of the shower scene from Psycho is a pain. Then I coughed and blew blood all over the shower walls, which I had to wash off. Fix my lighthouse.

Got no respect at the diner last night. I don't know if the place is overworking their wait staff and she really didn't have the time or if she just takes us for granted since we're regulars but it pissed me off. They screwed up my order which I didn't like but I wasn't going to make a big deal about it. But the waitress never came back to check so even if I'd wanted to complain I couldn't have. Eventually, after I'm finished eating, she comes back and I ask for a refill on my coffee. I wait. Nothing. I get up and go looking for her, no luck. Ask another waitress to tell her I'd like more coffee. I wait. Again, nothing. Finally I get up and try to find a manager. He turns out to be a real dick about it. I tell him I've asked a couple of times for a refill and the waitress is ignoring my request. He's like, 'too fucking bad, she's busy right now, she'll get to you when she's done. Again, I wait. Nothing. Finally she comes over and I just want to get my check and leave.

I don't normally like to make a big deal over shit like this but the general attitude of everyone involved just pissed me off. So this morning I called the diner and asked when the owner would be around so I could come in and talk to him or her. I ended up getting the day manager and told her my sad, sad story. I didn't expect her to actually do anything but she seemed to take my complaint seriously. Of course it's her job to put on a good show for the rubes. I guess we'll see the next time if there's a change in attitude.

I know the felling. Been there done that. Back in my twenties I had like sensitive veins in my nose or something and if the inside of my nose was dry just the tiniest it bleed like a damn boar. Had the same thing happen to me in the shower.

My mom and I had a bad experience at On The Border once and to this day we haven't been back. The guacamole tasted like carpet or puke mixed with carpet. The tortillas were all dried out and the over all food we ordered was cold and slop. We never had a bad experience with them before, but that day ruined it for us permanently. I couldn't even eat guacamole again for months and I love guacamole. They have had to have done something to it. Maybe dump some tequila in the shit or something. It was that bad. OMG, I can still taste it.

You shouldn't even go back to that place. God knows what they do to your food or even how they prepare it. I bet the health department gave that place a D-. I take restaurants very seriously.

Ya know, I think I just wouldn't go back. I don't fuck with people that prepare my food, especially when they know me. Find a new diner.

More entitled is such an understatement, I am honestly having trouble thinking of the words to use to say just how entitled a lot of the fuckers think they are. Don't get me wrong, I've met a very few pretty decent rich folk but, at least in my experience, they are the exception.

Just last night I was having a conversation with one about his daughter who is going to be a junior in high school next year. They have even hired some fancy absurdly high dollar college "guide" to coach her on how to get into the best schools as well as navigate the application process. Well she wants to be a doctor but he doesn't agree because the type of doctor she wants to be, and I am quoting here, "will only make a few hundred grand a year, anyone can do that". The funny thing is, she already has enough of his businesses in her name to live off of for life so it's not like she needs to pick an absurdly high paying career to be rich.

That's just their mindset, they don't think that a few hundred grand a year is even a difficult achievement.

Technically if you look at the original definitions of 1st,2nd, and 3rd world it had nothing to do with poverty it refers to cold war thinking. 1st world non communist and allies with us,2nd world communist and allies with them and 3rd world politically aligned with neither and doesn't play well with others. So now you know (Shooting stars whatever other screen props those PSAs used)
