Twisted my ankle playing tennis last night, working from home today because I can't walk too good, at least until the swelling goes down.

If the seller argues "The game at least works so it's no problem" I'm gonna be in a tizzy. :'(

My quote was like 4k. Well 3.5 but add HST and it is about 4k.

Thankfully I got a bit of extra money coming in soon so it will help, and do have some savings.

No shed this year though. I was planing on building one but that's going to go to next year. :p
Same here. I paid over $3500 several years ago to replace the heat exchanger on the furnace and then another couple grand a few years later to replace the AC. But the new furnace was more than 80% efficient while the old one was maybe 50 or 60%. Also had to replace the in ground oil tank with a basement tank and was able to go from 500 gallons down to 250 since the new furnace was much more efficient.

But ventilation is important for the high efficiency models. The exhaust is much cooler than older ones so you need to make sure that there is a positive slope for the exhaust tube and you have a leak-free chimney or you can get some CO2 infiltration. I made sure I got CO2 detectors and put them around the house after that. Haven't had any problems but you never know when one might develop.

I just threw out a few dozen of those types of boxes. Not a perfect match but if you want to avoid the hassle of an exchange:

https://www.amazon.com/Replacement-BRBR12BL-S-Blu-Ray-25-Pieces/dp/B000U0HRKG/

And I finally turned off the notifications to my YouTube videos. I'm going to get right to it: I mostly make click-bait videos -- they can be useful and entertaining -- that are under a minute long. The comments I usually get are from people who can't read or don't read such as, "Your video isn't ______." And nowhere in the description or title did it ever say it was _______. And you should have figured it out by the short run-time that's clearly visible before you click on it.

I clicked that link and now I'm getting spammed by amazon ads.

He bought the launch edition with Star Fox Guard so he's obviously a collector who needs it original. :( At least Nintendo sells original replacements.

Yeah going high efficiency is a good move. Think mine is a 90% efficient. The good ones have two pipes, one intake one exhaust. That way it's a closed system and does not suck air outside. I wish water heaters worked that way too (some do but you pay through the nose).

Oh and 1st world problem for today: It's rainy and crappy outside, of course it's also the long weekend.

Major first-world problem... Because of the holiday, my package won't get here until Monday, and that's assuming Canada Post doesn't strike on Saturday.

And I would have liked to go to pick some shit up at a store tomorrow but closed. Damn public holidays...

That too. I ordered stuff from Amazon, guessing it will be sent China post, I think that then gets handed to Canada Post... so I probably won't get it any time soon.

I've got moles in my yard and they went around my traps this morning so I had to relocate and reset them.

Our house was built ten years ago and purchased by my housemate. It has a really nice view of some trees/wetlands. I've lived here for 6 years.

Today, (July 4th Weekend? WTF people?) the trees started coming down to build (finally) some apartment development that's been in planning for like 3 years.

My housemate is no-shit-literally crying.

(I know. City planning. If you don't own the property, you don't get to complain. Still sucks.)

My expensive (more than what my parents made in a year as teachers in India) Samsung phone running out of storage, so spent this morning deleting and moving files over.

Gotta take my daily social selfies when going to gym, Starbucks, movies, work, driving and even in the bathroom.

Mole smoke bombs are real?

Do they smoke them out or smoke them in?
IDK, I've never used them. I assume that the gas poisons them. Since they don't like to leave their holes when threatened, I guess they stay put and breath the gas.

My yard is heavily populated with ground hogs but I leave them alone. It's always interesting to see where they're going to dig their new holes each spring.

^Someone here (?) posted a photo of a dead groundhog or possum a wild back that got stuck in its hole. Person was awared from the smell.

Edit: And I want to buy a braided USB cord but the only one I can find has stupid blue LEDs on both ends. It'd be otherwise perfect.

You know I'm really considering the gas route to get these pesty varmints which are very aggravating. This thing seems to know when I pull a trap and then shortly thereafter proceeds to tunnel right past that location as if to give me a mole finger. I managed to get two by walking up with a shovel while they were in the process of tunneling and popped them out of the ground. They met my shovel immediately afterwards and continued their trip to where ever animals go when they die. I did manage to get one in these victor out of sight traps but this one has been evading me for weeks now.
