You poor bastard. If you think it's rough now, just wait until you find you're missing a part, or a part is defective or they gave you the wrong part. That's when the fun really starts. 🙁

Luckily all the missing parts are for the later steps so at least I can get it started. Hopefully they will arrive by the time I get to those steps.

The killer for things with a million parts is when you have things like L-brackets that are 2" long, 3" long, 4" long, and 2 1/16" long. So you sort things out but don't realize that pile of 2" brackets actually has two slightly different sizes in it.

But later after you used the 2 1/16" where you should have used 2" without a problem... but now you have to have a 2 1/16" for a specific place and there are none to be found.

The only thing like that was the 3" and 2 1/2" wood screws. About 100 of each all nicely packaged in the same bag. WTF? You couldn't put 100 of each into separate bags?

So, I learned today that baking powder actually works. My cornbread exploded on one side, like 2 inches above the level it sat at when still a liquid -- I half-assed an threw a big tablespoon in, more than recipe probably.

lol, yeah I can see that. I usually use about half a teaspoon when I make cornbread. A tablespoon is a lot.

Dropped my shoes off at Dorian's Shoe Repair(it's in downtown Portland,OR..) to get re-soled.I was desperately hoping they could get them fixed in less than a week.

The earliest they can have them back to me is fucking June 7th.

3 damn weeks.Goddamn backlogs.

(They've done fantastic work on my shoes in the past..I just got in at a very bad time.)

Gotta go pick up my dry cleaning, then thinking about going to take a few pictures somewhere but my cheap (take it, jokes on you) camera is low on juice while I don't want to take my expensive (I will fuq you up) camera because it is expensive.

I paid $50 to "dry" clean a wool-blend coat... Went to pick it up and now my cynical side is asking how I know they didn't just charge me $50 and put it on the return rack. There weren't really any major stains. It looks cleaner and washed, but was it washed...

Deep-fried food came in a styrofoam box. Geniuses at the restaurant didn't bother to let the shit cool down to below the melting temperature of polystyrene first, so the plastic melted into the food all over. I wonder why KFC uses paper boxes... And what the hell is this aluminum foil I've heard of. That shit must be super expensive and toxic for them to not think about using. Fuck wits.

Actually a lot of food doesnt taste so wonderful after its touched foil.
But I've seen plenty of take out joints use plastic containers and it seems to work just fine.
Foam sucks. It melts and it doesnt actually keep the heat in like its supposed to. You need a super thick wall of foam, like in those cheap coolers.

I have another bag of crap I want to donate but it's a holiday here today so not sure if open or not... It's too hot tomorrow and it might rain Wednesday. Woe is me.

I almost never go to McD but I stopped in today and somehow ended up paying >$7 for my fish sandwich. Apparently, if you don't specify, they assume you want the "meal" option which includes soda and fries. I really don't see how they have the cajones to charge that much for postage stamp sized sandwich, fries and sugar water.

yeah if you're paying > $7 for a FoF combo you're doing it wrong.

FML, haven't been to McDs in forever. Only had poverty BK near work and I only worked in the middle of nowhere off-site so it was all A&W.
