Because they're on TV?

In LA < 74 = jacket weather, > 74 = shorts and flip flops weather

This is pretty god damn accurate. People definitely knew I was a tourist last week with the shorts and flip flops on everywhere I went. The mornings were pretty cold though - mid 40's or so. But then it'd be 70 degrees by 10AM. God dammit, I miss that. :'(

Jesus.... 74 F = 23.3 C. I'm sweating my ass off with any amount of activity at 60 F = 15.6 C already.

If I have a light sweater on and jeans, it's stripping time...

Location: Canada

makes sense.

With all this heckling, you best be bringing some of that sunshine with you in May. And maybe some nice cigars.

all I'm bringing with me is a whole lotta shade. 😉

Don't want to cook so I just ordered a large pizza from Papa Johns for 50% off. Can't make it $10 or less (including sale tax) because I don't want to lose my favorite toppings.

Seriously thinking about private tutoring for da money. I got almost everything worked out except two things:
1. How to avoid being falsely accused of diddling if I work with kids.
2. How to avoid being murdered if I do it at someone else's house -- fuq you, not the diddling, the tutoring...

First one seems unavoidable as a dude. Second one, I guess I could conceal a screwdriver in my pocket?

the best defense is a good offense...

If you want to diddle kids without getting in trouble you have to work in the catholic church.

I think I might have just bought some nuclear sake...

I got some solar bottle lights for my mother, and needed a nice looking bottle. This was the nicest one in the store. I don't even like sake, but the prospect of getting new super powers is intriguing.

Waiting for you to explain your new superpowers.

Anyway, seems like a first world "problem."

As a bonus you can easily make this a bong.

The super power I got appears to be the ability to make the earth spin faster. I can't really control it, and it wears off after a short while. I'll have to get another bottle for further testing.

On the bright side, it tastes decent. When I had it as a teenager, it was either too cheap, or perhaps my tastes too unrefined. Not something I'd get for myself, but I'd be happy to receive it as a gift, or drink it if served to me.

Gotta go to Wal-mart to buy boxes, crackers, and garbage bags. Can't go because it was a holiday yesterday, will be a holiday tomorrow, and is a weekend today, meaning it'll be packed to the brim. Monday is a holiday for a lot of people so problem again... Looks like I'll be waiting until Tuesday.

Dammit, just got the smog notice from Cali smog nazis. I have to bring my car into a Star Station now instead of a regular smog place. There's three levels here, regular smog station, star stations, then the dreaded BAR. Crosses fingers my fully modded sleeper beater passes.

My Homer Simpson look-alike neighbor fired up his commercial BBQer on wheels in the street in front of his house (side business). Its been smoking the whole block up all day and I'm sick of it. An hour or two is one thing, four or five of that is quite another.

It's been so warm and we have not had any snow in a while, so I don't get to use my snow blower. 🙁

But give it a month or so, I'm sure we have more storms coming. But hard to tell, this El Nino stuff has been really weird. The near end of winter warm front usually does not last this long.

Been sick all week. I can't dance.

Looks like pre-ChiPs Erik Estrada. Not that I would know. :sneaky:

I heard on Science Friday that neutron stars had mountains. I thought, "That is cooler than cool, how does something with gravity like that have mountains?" So I looked it up, by mountains they meant "slight density anomalies on or near the surface". Not as cool. But the iron crust is pretty cool.

I went to Whole Foods today and they did not have the Gelato I was looking for. I had to drive all the way to Harris Teeter to get it. When I got to Harris Teeter, I wanted to get an Antipasto salad from the bar and they were all out 🙁
