Remote start, ftw. I don't have one and the after market was expensive so...send the 14yo out to start the truck.:D

Also had a couple in the state kill themselves accidentally with one. Parked the car in the garage and the remote was hit.

Yeah but that costs a lot in gas to always idle the car, so I avoid doing that unless it's really cold out.

Which reminds me, I need to get my auto start checked. When it's not cold enough out, it sometimes gets stuck in an infinite loop activating the starter but not actually starting the car. It keeps going until I open and close the driver side door a few times or till the battery dies. Because of that I avoid starting the car unless I can see it.

You people with heated seats... Do you have leather seat covers or fabric?

I've never felt the need for heated seats with fabric covers -- 99% of cars I've sat in.

Also, I discolored the bottom of my stainless steel pan. First time using it for something other than eggs or pancakes. Let it get too hot when warming up and/or the stuff I was cooking left a deposit. FML, it's not shiny anymore and interwebs suggest using vinegar.

Not sure if the bullshit meeting I have to sit through today will allow me to go down to give blood this afternoon for the +4 hours of vacation time they hand out for donating.

Side note: I have always donated when I can. The vacation time is just something that my new employer as of a year ago happens to give out for donating....

This morning, a dumbass in the front of me stopped at the red light of the intersection and would NOT turn right even there was no sign of "no turn while red". There were no other vehicle on the main lane, wasted several minutes of everyone behind him. Stupid red neck in dark beige F150.

Isn't no left turn while red kind of like sort of a um.... law?

My employer (more a customer who is purchasing our services) is trying to do away with business class flights!!

There is no way I am flying to China (from Toronto) in the cattle car! I'd rather die!!! (or stay home, whichever)

Got to work and found streams of rainwater pouring into the building from a roof hole. Buckets and mop have been deployed. Carpets saturated.
Good times.

P.S. - Roof probs may actually be 2nd world prob.

Deployed a new SAN controller yesterday - the setup process was too easy, and I the likelihood of me being automated out of a job is increasing.

You just need -1701.

ENTERPRISE only makes sense if you already had USS. :colbert:

You complaint about flying to china? I will have to fly to Japan for business from Texas (13 hours flight) and then from Japan to one of the ASEAN nations (another 5-6 hours), again in coach.

Why? Because the trip cost will be out of my own pocket and $1.5K or less for coach is a lot less than $4K-$5K for business class ticket. <sad panda>

At my job we're doing daily meetings to get a project done faster. They're supposed to be one hour, but they've averaged 1.5 so far, and this one's still going at 2.5 hours! My part of the project's basically working, but I'm still supposed to attend. And since I telecommute from two time zones away from where most of the people work, the meetings start at noon, so I have to push my lunch before or after the meeting.

My company only will consider business class for flights over 14 hours. My coworker has flown LA to Singapore a few times so I thought I'd try arguing for him to get a business class upgrade on the 17 hour Singapore airlines direct flight. The stupid travel agent wouldn't even submit it for approval apparently because she couldn't comprehend the international date line. Talk about making your head spin.

Bought a new messenger bag. Wasn't really sure about it so bought it with cash to make a return easier on the store... now I think I really like it and not sure if I should keep it or not. I sold/gave away all of my old messenger bags.
My timbucktu bag is still in pristine condition despite me using it 5x per week for the last year and a half.

I had mine stolen, had to disable it and stick to opening it manually. I realized that it's possible to manually open the door from outside if you can manage to get a good grip under the rubber seal, so decided I should chain it inside, but I did not want the thieves to come back and try the opener and have it burn out the motor, so I just unplugged it.

I should probably look at modding it so I can use a different style remote, maybe some wifi accessible web page on my network. Then have some kind of actuator that locks the door in place when closed and unlocks when you get the code right. A project for later I guess. :p
