I need a new battery for my laptop but I am having a lot of trouble pulling the trigger for an OEM one because it's $150 -- what a POS, the original had like 15% wear when it was delivered. I can get an effing brand new iPad Mini (base, maybe older gen) for $250. OMFGBBQ.
 
It's freezing outside but every shop has the heat cranked to "swelter" so I keep having to alternately bundle up and shed several layers of clothing between every errand I run.
 
No dinner available when I came home. Had a new waffle iron from Christmas. Was forced to eat breakfast for dinner. Oh right, I'm the cook in this house.

survived 8 (eight!!) interviews today... now to spend the rest of my holiday stressing about how it went.

pretty sure I did well in 5 of them, but the boss's boss kept on flipping my resume over as if to see if I had printed it double-sided, which worries me that it's too short, and 2 of the interviews were just super technical stuff, some of which came out of total left field (eg: "how does this storage array that you're familiar with compare to this storage array that you've never heard of?" .... uh, I'd be happy to do the research and get back to you, but without knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the platform in question, I can't give you anything more than vague generalities)... the technical interviews were me saying a lot more "that's a bit outside of my knowledge base" than I'd like, but they're hiring a storage engineer, not a VMware engineer.
 
I finished almost all of my last tasks and projects before my last day tomorrow so now I have basically nothing to do but sit here and nef...
 
Moved the location of my navigation antenna and it's worse. There really wasn't any problem with it before anyway. 🙁

Now I need to remove my HU again - and since I am removing my HU, I decided to go ahead and upgrade my amps and stick more hardware in.
 
Had to log onto the mainframe today... I swear, every time I have to do CICS crap I always have to get my password reset. And some of this code looks terrible. =(
 
I chose Amazon free shipping last week. I hadn't realized Amazon had contracted with BumExpress™ to ship packages via homeless people hitchhiking across country. My shipment has been averaging 5.5 miles per hour. 🙁
 
The wife at tim Hortons is limited in time and bandwidth.
At the cocoa is so hot it may not cool before my limit is up. Also,grammas house has no 4G data coverage.
