I've been travelling for work these last couple weeks. I'm in a dinky midwest town now and I was in the mood for steak last night. I asked my coworkers and they recommended something called "texas roadhouse". I cringed thinking about Swayze but they assured me it was the best steakhouse in town. Four of us went and it was a damn nightmare. They play country music and make the waitstaff dance, uhg. We all ordered the new york strip, all medium rare, and mine had the honor of being overcooked. I ate it anyway since it was mostly medium and had a good flavor, but more importantly, I wanted out of that place asap. I ordered grilled onions on mine and they were undercooked. At the end of the meal, I spoke up letting the waitress know the problems and specifically said I did NOT want a refire. As we were wrapping up dinner, a refire appeared in front of me from some random staff, not our waitress. I looked at it in disgust and noticed the onions were not done on this one either so I cut into the middle. Again, not medium rare. I asked for the manager at that point and explained all this to him, both steaks overcooked, onions undercooked, requested no refire and they did it anyway, etc... He apologized but said the kitchen manager refires mistakes anyway. I was appalled and furious, he was condescending. It was at that point that I demanded my dinner be free (I had no problem paying until then) and assured him I would never be back. What are the odds I visit that podunk town again anyway? What happened to the customer being right?

Businesses that sell stuff they don't actually have are pissing me off. Three times in the last two months I've ordered stuff from companies that list the item as "in stock" only to get a week or two of no communication after placing the order followed by "we're back ordered on that". No, no you aren't. The item is out of production and you know it and I know it. You simply sold something you didn't have. Pisses me off. One guy finally sent an email asking me to give the company a call to discuss the order. The order was for one light bulb. I don't want a relationship with you, I want you to ship a freaking light bulb. If I wanted the personal touch I wouldn't have used your online ordering system where you said the bulb was in stock. Did I mention this pisses me off?
