I stay away from the political BS, but I'm pretty sure his Twitter account has been just a teeny more active than my account ever was. ;)
You're a lot smarter than me, though, I didn't touch P&N till a bit after some election in 2016.
Oh, and pls change the colours on your system sig, can't see them in Dark Mode.

I've made the mistake of posting in there. No matter what it's about, people will just find a way to twist it in a way to attack you. Definitely not worth it. I thought Reddit was bad.

Reddit is also bad. But the people running things are getting a little better. They actually shut down the Donald butt-kissing subreddit.

Needed a rubber grommet for my car and nobody had any in stock so I had to buy from eBay and pay $6 shipping to ship something that probably ways an ounce and would fit in a first class envelope.

Oh yeah it can still be bad there too. I actually recently got banned from a Canada subreddit for questioning the government's approach at the pandemic. And if you have a different opinion there than everyone else, the mob effect is in full force.

Bought an Apple Watch for my wife for our anniversary. No door bell, didn't get a notification till later by email - no package found. So now I have to call UPS to if they screwed up, or if someone is walking around with a new watch. Damn Apple store was out of stock or I would have picked it up.

So much for the perception of Canadians as polite, eh? :D

Mob effect for different opinion? Sound like P+N here.

Ehhh My first world problem: My bangs were totally straight and they were annoying me. I had to get out the flat iron and fix it. (I know that may not make sense, but they can also be used as a pseudo-curling iron as well.) That counts, doesn't it? :D

Lot of the Canadian sub reddits are actually quite toxic tbh. /r/canada is run by white supremacists - I got banned from there for calling ISIS bad words. /r/onguardforthee is suppose to be a better sub, but that's the one I recently got banned from for questioning the government's approach at the lockdowns, ex: how Amazon and Walmart are allowed to operate but all small businesses can't. /r/ontario is toxic too, got banned for calling out someone for not quarantining after they traveled. Oh and there's /r/metacanada which is basically the Canadian version of /r/the_donald.

If I keep sharing my opinion any more they'll just ban me from Canada itself lol. Do not ask questions. Comply. *soviet march music*

So back to my coffee situation. The coffee from the new machine is like 10x better. So yeah I think I was just due to replace the old one. I need to remember to run a cleaning cycle on this one more often and hopefully it will last me longer. I will keep the old one as I can probably still attempt at cleaning it more if I can get ahold of more serious chemicals like hydrochloric acid. If I end up buying off grid property I could use it there.

First on Race Day!

It's kind of funny to me...when I was younger and used to work on other people's cars for fun and profit...I wouldn't work on Fords. "Sorry, my wrenches don't fit no Fords."
Then, in 2005 when all the American car companies were offering "employee pricing" for new cars, I decided to look. Haven't been a Mopar fan since the last one I bought...96 Dakota. That thing was a POS and problematic since day 1. Never liked Chevys...so...Went looking at new Ford trucks. Couldn't find an F150 equipped the way I wanted anywhere in NorCal, (had a guy in a Ford store looking on their locator service for me) so I kept looking. Stumbled accidentally across an Expedition that one of the salesmen had "hidden" in the service department while his customers tried to get a bit more down payment...drove it, bought it.
My wife said, "So, does this mean I have to buy you a new set of wrenches...that will fit a Ford?"
Haven't looked back.

I'm assuming you've seen Ford vs Ferrari?

If not I think you would enjoy it!

Also note there's a reason 90% of livery service vehicles are Lincolns. If I were buying an American car I would only consider a Ford.

Nah, saw a couple of trailers...that's it. Looked pretty meh to me.

It's really good .... well written and acted plus a mostly true story.

I waited awhile to see it because my impression was about the same as yours.

They blew it with the advertising... and I blew it not seeing it on a big screen!

Right after spending an infuriatingly large amount of money ordering replacement eye-glasses, my two long-since 'lost' pairs turned up. Oddly, they were right next to each other, literally touching each other (down the back of a bit of furniture) despite the fact I lost one in June and the other in December.
I mean, I literally hung on more than 6 months hoping to find the first pair, then coped for a month after mislaying the remaining pair, before finally forking out for new ones. Then within days of doing that, I find both of the lost ones.

Last year I spent months looking for my resistor kit (assortment of electronic components with various values). I even lamented to a friend in a Twitter DM and his response was that it would turn up as soon as I ordered another one.

I waited another two months and ordered one only to find the original set the same day the replacement arrived. I hadn't even broken the seal on the new set. I'd claim that I'm set for life except I'll probably end up losing both of these when moving to the new workshop. ;)

I don't even look at gas prices anymore, I just look at prices of lube. I know I need some every time I go to the pump. I guess that's my own fault for buying a F150 lol. Topped up the other day and it cost like $80. I can get close to $200 if the tank is closer to empty.
