Self inflicted. Making a cajon drum box for the kid, a surprise. 12x12x18. Why is one side 24? Yep, already glued it up.

He's 6'4",150, maybe he won't notice.

At least it's not supposed to be 12x12x24...and one side is 18...

They just changed one of our many ticketing systems at work, AGAIN. Once you get used to doing something a certain way they turn around and change it. Seems to always be the way things go. I don't know why companies are so obsessed with constantly changing crap. When I build something, it's practically permanent. Future proof it from the start and it never needs to be changed.

I think you need to buy him a Baconator or two once in a while, I'm almost the same weight and 5'6"! :p

This reminds me I need to check how the lumber prices are doing, can probably start on my workshop after Christmas. The 2x6x12 to do the ceiling rafters will be the expensive bit, but that will let me insulate the ceiling as right now it's just full open up there.

Damned tick eats 3K calories a day.

Lumber, here is still stupid. Maybe mid summer, assuming the mills are up and no other disasters. Our housing prices are crazy because peeps can't afford to build.

I got up and hour late, which put me in rushed mode. Start the coffee maker and the effing filter folds over, which I notice once it is done. One port of freshly brewed coffee full of grounds. I dump that out and go get into an ice cold shower and that was how my day began.

We have a new TV at work with cable TV and I have been on call at work lately so I did use the remote control a lot. And now when I get home, the buttons of the home TV is not the same as the one at work so it is bit messy/wrong button/wrong channels.

I was all excited to order some Thai takeout last night, so I called the place and nobody answered. Called about three more times without any luck. Google says they're open. So I try calling two more times before finally giving up and ordering Chinese.

What region? Some are closed due to the virus. The local Thai place here in Newnan, GA keeps asking my brother to come answer phones when they get busy, and that's because they can't go back to full staff yet during the pandemic (they are also his landlords). Also, some staff has had to go back to Thailand to deal with dying relatives.

Don't believe what you hear about how Thailand is handling this.

I was cleaning up old VMs and doing rm -rf foldername & to delete a bunch of old VMs. & does it in background so I don't have to wait for each one.

Fumbled the keyboard and did * instead of &.

FML.

I don't have a backup solution in place to backup actual VMs since that's more complicated and I don't even know if there is a way with free/open source software since I'm on ESXI and rest of my environment is Linux. I managed to only lose my torrentbox in all of that, but still sucks as that thing was kind of a pain to setup properly.

I knew it was a bad idea playing around with the rm command at 5am.

Northeast. This place has been open for takeout all along, but maybe they're on vacation or something.

My workplaces AD infrastructure is a shit show, and any time you need to change your password, it's never smooth sailing and some weird issues usually pop up. Also, it takes several days for it to propagate everywhere so I usually try to do it at the end of my last shift. Well last time I forgot, and I only have a few days before it expires.

So I figured I would do it now as I have about an hour left... well it fucked up royally. It just locked up at "changing password". Whole computer is locked up now. Even if I force reboot I won't be able to log back in. So guess I'm out of commission until my cross shift shows up.
