"Pit beef" is beef prepared in a microwave oven. The name, used in Texas, is a throw back to the early days of nuclear weapons production when the Pantex assembly techs would cook their lunches by exposing the meat to the plutonium/uranium pits they were building. The name was transferred over when microwaves became common in the 70s.

Loved the addition of the Wikipedia link, it made your BS reply believable for about 2 seconds 🙂

Bought some American Spirit RYO tobacco today, and they don't come with papers anymore. I have a bunch laying around the house, but it's kinda lame not to include them.

I went camping and got sunburned. The spot we were at had like no shade. Now I can't shave my beard as it will hurt too much. Good news is, the beard is already past the itchy stage so it does not really bother me. I might keep it. 😛 I was going to start growing one in September when it starts to get cold anyway. It's August, close enough.

Forced to look up "Pit Beef" after this clever, but BS, answer.

Just noticed my title was "no lifer". Makes me feel special. Not Olympic gold medal special. More like helmet wearing, short bus special :^/

There is a special place for you if you know where to look. 🙂
Found it!

Got a sunburn earlier this week and it still hurts. ironicly I got it while drying off after a swim which was to remove sun screen. Was near the end of the day so figured the sun was not strong enough. I was wrong.

I want to be special too. But it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon. Whom does one have to fellate to their post count modified?

Stupid crappy window blinds in my 8th floor apartment.

(The sun is shining straight thru the gaps in my blinds, and it's way too bright for not even being 9 AM here yet.)

Gotta go to work tomorrow. That means I have to fetch the draftsman. I hate that fucker. He's nice enough. All he thinks about is his next beer. He has no controversial opinions. He's literally nothing. That's why he has friends. I can't figure out what his girlfriend sees in him, Women are traditionally supposed to be protected by their mates. I wouldn't depend on him for anything. He;'s worthless. Best I can figure, he's a surrogate for the child she doesn't have. Something to be protected and doted over. I simply wonder what's inside that enormous belly. Can't be shit due to the chronic alcoholic diarrhea. I think it's Natural Light. I could split him open with my axe, and it would be like a prohibition era revenuer destroying a keg of beer. Stuff I think about...

Every time I'm off it's too damn hot out. I want to finish the shelving in my shed so I can organize everything in there and then move on to another (preferably indoor) project.

As much as I don't like how short summer tends to be, I secretly can't wait till September so things can cool down.

We're under a heat warning right now, in AUGUST!

Shit's getting to me. About this time every year, I start praying for ??? Who the fuck knows anymore?! Used to be late September. Sometimes good weather barely gets here. Just another way life's fucking me over. Has to be global warming, not global cooling...

Is that not when heat warnings are supposed to come out? August has always been brutal everywhere I've lived.

My FWP today is that I had to drive like 100 miles round trip to get some obscure alcohol for my uncle since he can't find it where he lives. Oh well, it makes him happy so it's worth it. I got to see scenic southwestern Illinois.

What kind of obscure alcohol?
