Once again, the weather turned suddenly cold right before election day. And no matter how thick my long johns are, I'll still be freezing my tiny little peanuts off.

I heard quite the racket myself in my bathroom the other night, no hits on the mouse traps yet, and that kinda worries me, means they linger up there for quite a while before they finally decide to go for the peanut butter. When I was up on the roof I noticed some potential entry points where flashing is not done properly, but it will be hard to fix because of where it is. Actually THAT is what I wanted to get at Home Depot today that I forgot, I wanted to see if they sell tar in just a bucket that I can use to fill these type of gaps. I think my best bet is to just tar the hell out of everything I possibly can and hope for the best. I could also look at screening in that whole general area, it's basically where the overhang of the higher roof intersects with the lower roof, so there is kind of a triangular cavity in there that is hard to get to but could potentially be an entry point for mice.

Which got me thinking, I'm surprised BX wiring is not code for inside attics.

Get some copper mesh and shove down in there. it's like 40 bucks for 100 foot roll on amazon

I've been sealing up and eliminating rodents, non of the previous owners gave a shit, it's terrible. and the little buggers can sneak in almost anywhere.

I also pick up some "critter caps" for the siding corner posts.

Now I can hear them shimmying up the downspouts, fuckers

Boss was pestering me on my rain day. Despite his best efforts, I finally got my computer to print to the Xerox printer. That was the only blocker to him getting a gnu/linux machine. I'm gonna pickup a ssd tomorrow, and the next rain day, I'm gonna put Xubuntu on his computer.

My country just elected some dickhead that does not know how the government works and thinks he can just proclaim anything and make it happen.

Wait, is this a first or third world problem?

Did you consider watching it legitimately?

I don't really keep track of when shows tend to start so I would have had to PVR it ahead of time and then it's stuck on a magic black box that I have no control over. Just more convenient to have it in file format so I can watch it anywhere I want when I want. Comes up to the same thing in the end really.

Don't bother. They'll just collect dust.

Maybe I should take the gun stock profits and put them into airlines. You know, with all of the people fleeing the country.

Some hoarding drug addicted retard shit his pants again. But he doesn't think he has a problem and he sure as hell ain't going to change his pants or take a shower.

I think I lost my awesome space pen that I carry in my pocket for EDC. I'm not quite sure where I last had it. Goddamnit, it's small and easy to carry, writes well, and has gotten me laid more times than I can count. Well, it does write well and is small. FML

It's 64 degrees out but I had to close my door and turn on the AC because one of the largest urban forests in the nation is having a controlled burn.

And I did decide to reorder it, yesterday, from Amazon. Well a few hours ago a co-worker comes to my desk and goes "Is this yours?" and is holding my beautiful pen. I guess I'll just have an extra one.

So I guess ordering a second pen is my first world problem. Or maybe it's the fact that my work is taking longer than it should and I think my co-workers/higher-ups are thinking I'm sitting at my desk with my thumb up my ass the whole day, browsing eBay or something. I'm just glad it's Friday.
