My work phone was upgraded to a smartphone, my first smartphone. Company policy requires strong passwords to unlock phone. Not happy.

Google's contact manager sucks. The corporate directory provides almost every piece of contact info I might want for my coworkers. It shows up right there in the contact info on the desktop. Google doesn't push that info to the phone. If I want phone numbers to get pushed to the phone I have to copy them from the directory info on the bottom of the contact screen to new phone entries for each contact at the top of the screen. Then Google pushes it to the phone.

Amazon is making me wait for my shipment again... ordered it Sunday, still not shipped, probably because I chose free shipping.

A week ago, I ordered something using free ship and it came two days later. FML.

Edit: Oh, and I found out that I could buy a spindle of 50 DVD-R discs for $15, which is cheaper than getting a CD pouch/box. Anyone want 50 blank and unused DVD-Rs? I just need the spindle.

I bet if you had asked someone here would have given you a spindle for free.

I haven't bought it yet, so I can still ask. But I doubt anyone's going to pay $10+ to ship it to me so meh.

Maybe I'll buy the spindle and try to Craigslist the DVDs for $10. The disposable spindle is worth $15 to me?

Ars redesigned their site, and now it's virtually unusable. Fonts are blurry, and kind of squirrelly, and the site crashes Firefox mobile. That's my favorite site for tech news, and now I don't even want to go :^(

So... I checked out Amazon.com, not my poverty Amazon.ca, and they have empty DVD spindles. Problem is that they all cost more than me walking to the store and buying a spindle with actual DVDs included.

And I have two Amazon orders I put in days ago that still haven't shipped. They really want you to get that Prime and not use Free Shipping...

I ordered a malt. The cashier entered "shake". I corrected the cashier that I wanted a malt. The cashier changed "shake" to "malt". The server presented a cup saying, "Here is your malt." It was a shake.

My cat jumped up on my nightstand and knocked over and broke the bulb in my lamp. He's OBSESSED with seeing out the windows, so I'm guessing he did it to get to the window that's close to and above the nightstand. The thing is, he's got another, bigger, window that's lower to the ground AND has a new climbing furniture by it, which I recently purchased just so he could sit and look outside. I shoo him off the nightstand the few times I've seen him on it but he did it when I was at work. Little bastard.

Cat's also like to be as high up as possible. It makes them feel safe, like a jaguar chilling in the branches. The highest spot that can see out a window is absolutely irresistible, even with easier access further down.

I use EZ Disc CD/DVD Disc Dispenser:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0028Q1CGK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_JNOnxbESJ6PTD

They fit a normal cake box sans-spindle.

My sister threw out two of them in one of her "rage cleaning" sessions so I'm down to one. :(

"This is empty. Why are they keeping this? I'm throwing this out!" The more angry she is at whatever the less likely she is to ask and the more angry everything makes her.

So... I found a pack of 50 DVDs for $13 at a local store. If I manage to sell the discs, it'll make it even better.

Sold my first item on Ebay weeks ago and even have the funds available now but still no feedback. It's my first sale. I kinda need the credibility. :\ Bastard.

Send your buyer a personal message requestdemanding it. You should probably just cut/paste your post above.

Seriously though: send the buyer a personal message and ask if everything was OK/how they liked the item. Let them know that it was your first sale and if everything was OK you'd greatly appreciate the feedback. The more personal/less professional, the better because some people people rarely bother to leave feedback for big eBay businesses selling thousands of items but always leave feedback for the little guys.

The big guys figured this out and pester me for feedback all the time even though they shouldn't need mine (drop in the bucket).

My wife went grocery shopping. The cats want to be fed and my wife is the feeding person. If I feed them it doesn't count and they'll want to be fed when she gets home. They think she is working in her studio so they've been squalling the entire time she's been gone.

Pro tip: nobody gives a fuck about 1 feedback. Buy a lot of media on CL and then unload on eBay as a feedback loss leader if you really care.

I won $25 GC at BassPro and not sure what to buy. Maybe 1/2 a shirt? LOL.

That place is expensive.

OMFGBBQ: tour is over.

I went to consolidate my CD/DVD collection... Turns out that I need another two or three spindles because I filled up my spindle for 50 really quickly. The good news is that once I do get the spindles, I can reduce the volume of my collection by at least 50%.

P.S. Taking those CD cases apart brought back some bad memories. Whoever thought it'd be a good idea to use polycarbonate (? clear plastic) for the disc ring/mount deserves a kick in the ass -- too rigid.

And I have to take my pea coat across town to get it dry cleaned at a "good" place.

Edit: FFFML... Took a closer look at acquiring empty DVD cases and found a store that's one town over that sells them for ~$5 a pop. Ordered 4. I paid $13 for my one yesterday:(.

Why are you using spindles. You can get notebooks with pages that hold 8 disks each and you can stuff about 20+ pages into a notebook. And that's if you don't double up some of the sleeves. So between 160 and 320 disks per notebook. That HAS to beat the shit out of using spindles. I would have said this earlier but it wasn't really clear to me what you were trying to do.

I've already ordered my cases... but what kind of sleeves do you have in mind? I saw some CD/DVD cases or "books" that looked bulky on Amazon. I'm trying to minimize volume because it's all going into storage -- and I want the least possible amount of volume, which spindles seem to do.

In other news, FML, I got into teacher's college but I "can't" afford it right now with the shitty job prospects. Meanwhile, people who can't do basic fucking math and diddlers of children are becoming teachers.

I can do math and am not a diddler. Fuq.
