Washing machine doesn't handle peanut butter very well. If I don't wipe off any excess before washing, I get this greenish crud encrusted on the butter knife. Then I have to wash the knife by hand anyway. When can I get a robot to do my dishes by hand? The Jetsons lied to us.

o_O You had me thinking that you put peanut butter in the laundry. We call that a "dish washer" 'round these parts.

Got very worked up dealing with a complete idiot...

Then I went full mental deficient while putting a 9 volt battery into a piece of shit snap on connector for a meter. I dropped both the meter and battery on the floor -- slipped while working on a table. Dropped my effing $150 meter onto a hard, tiled, kitchen floor because it was so difficult to snap the damn battery onto the connector. Effing garbage piece of shit snap on thing took two hands to finally mash in. Meter still appears to work but the battery got dented, hope it doesn't leak -- trying to run the battery down to get rid of the battery quickly.

And it took me over 2 hours to setup a new printer. When I figured things out, the entire process from clicking setup to printing was 10 minutes. Manual was pretty stupid though. Using the setup software, it was somehow supposed to connect to my WPA2-AES network with no prompt for the SSID or password -- there was a separate WPS setup but the non-WPS option seemed a lot like the WPS option. Turns out I could enter the SSID/password by pressing a connect with USB option. For the first 5 times, that USB option looked like the failsafe USB-only setup.

Thanks. I've been making a lot of mistakes like that today. Feels like someone is sucking out the few working neurons I have left. :(

And I just ran Windows Update on my laptop... Hadn't done that in two years. Still updating 3 hours later. Juts "looking for updates" took an hour.

Just rode my bike 1/2mi. to the local store for an outdoor bulb. Came back to put it in and realized the old one was probably out because the reset button at the plug had popped. Already gave the cashier my old bulb to recycle. D'oh.

Maybe... does the reset pop if the bulb (13w CFL) pops?

System just crashed thrice in the past day, twice in the past hour. Bug check says it might be a hardware issue, signs pointing towards CPU. It's almost 6 years old so it might be crapping out. FML, I don't want to put another system together... Worst of all, I don't feel like reinstalling Windows and downloading updates for a week straight.

Was going to buy a heatsink for my cpu that's 120mm and more quiet than my stock cooler, but it went up in price a dollar.

I had to literally live through a "it may as well be written in Chinese" experience -- it was in Chinese!

Edit: And I think I accidentally found a grow-op in my neighborhood.

On travel for work and we finished early. Couldn't get a seat on earlier flight so I spent 4 hours in the airport waiting....while being paid. Yeah, life is tough.

Awhile ago, I managed to snag a high-end computer at an industrial auction at a very nice price.
(<$200 scored me a Corsair Carbide case, a P9X79 Pro motherboard, 16GB RAM, i7 3930K 6-core CPU, 256GB SSD, 500W modular Corsair power supply, and a few monitors. It was lumped together with two other low-end standard office-worker computers. But looking closely at the photo, I saw the Corsair logo on the front of the case, and gambled that there would be good things inside if they were willing to spent the money on a name-brand case. Hell. Yes.)

Today, I discovered that one of the hard drive trays is missing one of its four special metal nubs for holding the hard drive in place. There's always a catch.

Oh, and I found a $1.50 coupon today for something that I regularly use, but it had expired.

I discover after i get home... farking kids in the next car over opening their car door into mine - rear door. That's what I get for being a good dad and bringing my kids to the school picnic for 20 minutes while dinner is being cooked. I park in the first/last spot away from others and of course another suv, with dents, parked next to me. Irresponsible parents like that should buy minivans with sliding doors.

At least I am experienced with the Lanka paint fix kit.

So in the case you catch someone dinging your car, what can you even do about it? Ask for $75 or something?

Like fucking hell they are.
If you got one of those odd flavor packs with Banana instead of Lemon flavor then I would agree. If you are seriously disappointed in getting Lemon flavor, you're dead to me, heathen.

It's saturday. I have the vague feeling there was something I was supposed to be doing, but I'm not sure what it was.

Went to an Apple Store for the first time today. I tried out the new iPad Mini 4. I had the same problem with it that I've had with almost every other touch screen device I've tried over the years which is that half the time the screen doesn't register my touches. It's like being married.

I have been playing DOSBox games in fullscreen mode stretched to 16:9 for so long that when I figured out how to maintain a 4:3 aspect ratio in fullscreen mode today, all my old games look funny.

They make banana flavored Starburst? I was not aware... How do they compare in taste to banana laffy taffy?
