Unit tripped offline last night at 4AM due to a random high vibration spike. The history shows a giant blip upwards of 10 mils. Got the boiler re-lit, closed in the exciter breaker and the fire protection went off on the transformer - foam all over the place. No idea what's going on. I'm gonna be here a while.
That's some serious overclocking you got going there.

I've lost so much weight, I can't sit on the toilet and browse atot or reddit anymore because my legs and groin fall asleep within a minute. I assume it's because I don't have this layer of fat cushioning my butt/legs anymore but I'm really not sure. I've tried to reposition myself but it doesn't help. I've lost the ability to spend time in my private office at home.

I know skinny and fat people with that problem. One of them is 18 and actively trying to gain weight to enter the Air Force (skinny as a rail). It doesn't seem to be weight-dependent to me.

Left my car's reading light on and it drained the battery. Get in the car to go to an appointment and . . . nothing. Doesn't even click. Go to check the jumper pack - discharged since it had been at least 6 months since I charged it last. Have to bring it in and leave it plugged in overnight. Sigh. I think I might look into a lithium jumper pack since they seem to hold a charge longer than lead-acid types.

My apartment complex has biweekly happy hours where we get free food and beer. I got to the food slightly too late and all that was left was cheese pizza. I ate two slices but it wasn't filling enough. Then I went back to my apartment and decided I wanted more and the concierge wouldn't answer my call to bring me pizza and beer. I had to give up on my endeavors because I didn't want to continue the awkward mingling.

Get two lead acid batteries, and swap them once a week. I use two I got from HarborFreight, and aside from shoddy construction, they work well. I recharge them every day since I use them to power equipment for work. You can get two for $80, and have a battery backup for inside the house in case power goes out.

New job offer to sign tomorrow and I could only negotiate around a 17% increase from old job. Everything else is good, but I wanted at least 20% increase. =(

Thanks. I just tend to forget about it until I need it, which is basically never. I do like the idea of keeping a second one in the house though. Power outages here are infrequent and short since I'm only a few miles from a main power station. But it's still good to have just in case.

Having two makes the charge hassle easier. That gives flexibility when you charge as long as you aren't super lazy. Aim for once a week, and if it takes two or three some times, no big deal. You also aren't pressured getting the charged unit back in the vehicle, or having the unfortunate circumstance of going out with nothing when your unit's charging, and needing it.

Some sack of shit left his Hepatitis B laced blood on the front door and a toilet paper roll... Because fuck everyone else, who cares if Hep B can live outside the body dry for weeks. I need to get a booster shot. Stat.

I spent the better part of two days figuring out all the stuff I need to do to have our CI environment bring up on demand build servers, using PowerCLI. Made some skeleton scripts, did a bunch of reading...

Then I found a plugin for our CI server that will do 90% of it for me.

Still, it probably saved me a couple more days of implementation, so I still feel like success kid.

You tested the blood?

You tested the blood?

No, but a medical person did a long time ago and confirmed he was a Hep B carrier. Unless he magically cured it by himself...

Edit: If you're curious, this person has no sense of hygiene, and I would not be surprised if he has used or continues to use hookers.

For the 100th or so time, ESPN is complete garbage, so instead of recording the scheduled ESPNFC, they played regular ass sports center AGAIN and my DVR recorded it.

Woke up to lots of planes and probably fighter jets flying overhead... air show is in town. Hope no one goes supersonic and buzzes the entire city again -- someone did that a few years back, windows were open, I got to experience my first sonic boom.

In third-world, they'd be dropping shit on me while they'd be flying too high to get a good look...

*shudders* I had to buy shit that was "fulfilled by Amazon" because I couldn't find anyone else in the country who stocked it. Oh, and I paid $10 each for new USB micro and mini cables -- I wanted braided ones that didn't have a PVC exterior jacket.

Just lost a lot of important tabs I had left open in Chrome even though I have is set to save sessions. I don't even know how I'm going to find half of that stuff again to resume what I was doing.

I came home and found my notebook on but with no video. I don't know if Windows Insider Preview updated my Windows 10 build or if it locked up because I closed the lid too fast after telling it to sleep (a problem it seems to have since upgrading to Windows 10). Regardless, I booted and waited until thing seemed to settle before launching Chrome and was comforted to see the "Restore" button. Unfortunately, it dimmed and my mouse pointer started spinning when I attempted to click it. I waited several minutes and saw that the option to open a new Chrome windows was available, but I didn't dare use it because I didn't want to start a new session and over-write the session I was attempting to recover. I checked the Task Manager and found all four logical CPU cores pegged at 100%. None of the processes were using over 40% but I waited until things suddenly dropped under 5%. Chrome still didn't respond. I waited longer and then a Chrome dialog popped up and said that Chrome was not responding, offering to "relaunch" the window.

The dialog was from Chrome and not Windows, so I believed it was the best chance of recovering my session. The unresponsive window closed but did not relaunch. Eventually, I launched it manually and I got the "Restore" option again. Unfortunately, it just restored the previous session that went unresponsive. It was now responsive but with no option to restore the prior session before that.

Ugh.

Starting a new job on the 14th and they are going to issue me a rMBP, and I am afraid it will be a 13" one. I already have a 15" and I have never met anyone that has been happy after losing 2". >_>

My... everything burns because I used a relatively dull razor with only some water, not running, to shave. Maybe I should go buy that $2.47 can of shaving cream or change my blade.
