My car wouldn't start (just crank). Tried 5 times over the course of an hour, called tow guy for a jump and 30 minutes later it started right up for him without even jumping it. He proceeded to educate me on how to start my car, which I've been doing for 7 years now (to the day, coincidentally). The car is now acting like this morning didn't happen.

It would turn over but not start.

My Tacoma was only a few months old and it would randomly decide to not recognize the key and the security lock wouldn't come off.

my 65" TV is making it really hard to find an entertainment center that I like :( every time I see one that stands out to me, it ends up being too narrow.

right now we have our TV on the bay window seat in the living room, but we need a real tv stand for the new apartment. (don't want to wall mount it on account of the fact that we're only renting)

We got this one to go with our new 65" TV. It's easy enough to assemble and the center divider is adjustable so we were able to fit our center channel speaker and receiver in with no issue. It lacks storage, but that didn't matter to us since we have all our movies on a separate media shelf. If storage is a concern, you'll need to look elsewhere, but as a basic TV stand, it's great.

I like that a lot... storage definitely isn't a big deal, just need space for the DVR and various game systems (I threw out all my DVD jewel cases ages ago and just keep everything in a binder except boxed sets, which I keep on a bookshelf)

I'm also trying to convince my BF that we should do this, but he's against dedicated an entire wall to being an entertainment center:

(of course, instead of DVD's I'd probably fill the cubes with our boxed sets, records, picture frames, etc)

Had some errands to run today but there was a small blizzard out so every time I got back to my car after going somewhere I had to take snow off.

Accidentally made an offer for a $10 showerhead on Ebay and don't want to wait for the guy to accept it, and I don't feel like buying it now for $10.99, so I put off buying it altogether unless he accepts, but he has 2 days to decide. :(

You could get the stand I linked (also available in black) and still get the side bookshelves to match (if they're available in black or a fake wood grain). Wouldn't take up nearly as much space that way, although you'd lose the additional horizontal shelf space where the TV sits. We have large tower speakers next to ours, and there's something satisfying about the way it frames the TV, so I can understand the desire to have shelves or something similar around the outside. Doing the TV stand in place of the two horizontal shelves could strike a nice balance by giving you a distinct entertainment center without taking up an entire wall.

He needs to meet the curb. Damned Luddite.

:p

I still want to get a projector and do that to a really long wall in the Living Room at about 110 minimum and stick my sound system around like the wall unit, but still haven't snuck that one by the wife yet :)

Gonna happen yet....

I wasted $4 on a picture frame from the thrift shop for my autographed picture of RMS. It turned out to be too big, and too crappy. I ended up just cutting a window into the picture's shipping sleeve. No glass to protect the picture, but it's in the dungeon at the office, so it'll be protected enough from light and stuff.
