What firewall do you use?

Host-based outbound filtering gives you nothing, but a false sense of security. If something gets into your system it is all over. It can easily spoof your outbound filtering firewall and do whatever else it wants. The point is to never let it get on your machine in the first place.

Exactly. Don't get me wrong, outbound filtering at the edge of the network is a good thing, but host-based outbound filtering gives you nothing, but a false sense of security.

If the system is setup correctly it can give you more.

I noticed that the free version of Kerio hasn't been updated since 2003 although Im not sure that matters.

edit: I believe both saved my rigs from that recent TCP port 445 worm outbreak. :cool:
