I`m running the firewall built-in with Bitdefender Pro v7.2 anti-virus software,I`m also behind a router so security is very good IMHO.

for extra protection I use seimen speedstream Router and ZA Pro 4..so far it has not been hacked.

N0cmonkey, we could debate that, but PF is good. 😉

I use a Netfilter firewall on our linux router/fileserver, setup to minimize the effects of any outbound DoS attempts. Unfortunately I'm the only person in the house with a linux desktop, so I have to make concessions for the pesky Windows/Outlook users. 😀

We could, but there isn't a point. I'm right. 😉

If you have a suggestion, go ahead and let me know. I'd be interested to see a firewall that has the features of PF, isn't bloated (think iptables), is fast, has a SIMPLE rule language, and runs on as many systems as PF. I think only IPF comes close in the arch and rule language depts.

Kerio 2.1.5...this version has yet to fail me and doesn't ask about every **** thing I install.

you can turn that off for version 4. I didn't like 4 at first, but after configuring it a bit.

Altho, there's no password protection in the freebie one :/
