home theatre with highest quality equipment, accoustically minded design of walls/ceiling, ultra comfy reclining chairs

full workshop with bandsaws, drill presses, tables saws, etc...

Yeah, thats pretty much what I want as well. Whenever I build my house (years from now) I definitely want to have a good garage/workshop and a room built from the ground up to be a home theater.

1) An ocean view
2) Close to work
3) Quiet street (no traffic noise)
4) Privacy

Those are the biggest concerns for me. Currently, I have 2 and 3 in the house I own. Edit-#4 could be a little better, our neighbors houses are pretty close in proximity to our house and our fences are kind of low so I can peek over into their yard and vice versa.

1) front porch with porch swing
2) a good housekeeper
3) a buff gardener who takes off his shirt a lot (note that I'm female)
4) paid-off mortgage and low taxes
5) sturdy construction, state-of-the-art electricity, plumbing, HVAC, etc

I can dream, can't I?

1 - awesome garage, full mechanic's tools, at least one lift, metal shop tools, welding equipment, everything.

2 - well set up living room for movies

3 - well set up office / computer room

4 - wood burning fireplace

5 - hardwood / tile floors

1. Fully equipped workshop.
2. " " kitchen
3. Home theatre room
4. Office
5. Lots of land, prefer wooded, hills w/ streams

i have my dream home
the only thing i am missing is the home theater of my dreams

i could probably convert my loft into this since i already have it semi sectioned off
i just need the 103" LG Plasma display and the best speakers or separates/receiver/amps money can buy

my wife would probably want the kitchen redone a bit

wood flooring throughout would be kind of kool but i wouldnt want wood near the bathroom or any area that water could get on it, id probably get marble flooring in there or some other type of slab flooring without grout

other than that im set!
🙂

Hmm....

1. Awesome garage/workshop loaded with tools. My tools are in a barn now. 🙁
2. Basement/rec room with arcade games and pinball machines. Our pinball machine is in the living room now. 🙁
3. Big-ass walk-in closet. Our current walk-in closet has a low ceiling and about 1.5 feet in it starts following the roof down. Our clothes are on racks made of PVC pipe.
4. Just storage in general. We have hardly any closet space. Where did people put their stuff 80 years ago?
5. A nice TV room.
6. Cherry floors, white painted moldings

I think I'd be pretty happy with that.

1. Library with tall shelves and one of those sliding ladders.
2. A brewing cellar with equipment to produce, store, and dispense larger batches of homebrew.
3. Enough property to have some bike trails, fishing, plenty of garden space, and 'unexplored' areas where pot could accidentally flourish.
4. Location out in the country with lots of land, few and friendly neighbors, and a night sky worth looking up at.
5. Restraunt style kitchen.

1. Home theater system
2. Work station connected to the garage
3. Office with every office equipment imaginable
4. Gym - the size a regular gym
5. A tennis stadium

I want to live a simple life.

But a nice kitchen and master bedroom and bathroom would be nice. Maybe his and her toilets.
Oooooo... and a large study library where I can store my books with a nice lazyboy where I can read. 😀

Porches are great places to hang out and read. 🙂

I wouldn't mind having a pool table room as well, but that isn't a big deal to me anymore.
