What factory car is hte best for the money (and why?)?

I persoonally like the Volvo V70. I like the styling, safety factor people claim it has. It's nice to have a station wagon with a wife, kid and 2 dogs as SUVs simply cost more. And it starts at about $29K which isn't that bad at all. I'd rather have the XC70 but for hte price, the V70 is for me.

PS: inspired by my other "car haterd" thread.

Don't think performance is the main concern for the OP.

1-2 year old Buick Regal.

They drop in price, hugely after being taken from the lot. They perform well, and are very reliable.

I had a '92 I think it was. nice car even back then. If they drop in value that quickly....I'm having evil thoughts. Off to look at used car prices 😉

No, any reason is fine. As long as the why is there. I personalyl don't desire a fast car, but I'm not everyone 😉

Name a foreign car that provides the same performance at those prices.

?????

site says 207k rub. which is like $7,5k USD. i think they usually go for much less that that though.

VAZ 110 is also very cheap

I don't think legal in NA though - no 5MPH bumpers, i don't think they even have catalyst.
but cheap!

They can't, so they resort to the tired "American cars are crap" line.

New Z06 will be priced in the $70K range from early estimates.
For that kinda cash, I'll take a Viper

Well in the world of cars your gonna get a million options
So I'll comment on your choice.

Foreign, so you will have some cachet on style and not everybody and their dog has one
it still is a wagon though, but better than a mini-van IE me 😉
A high quality vehicle and if you have a good dealership 🙂 the only downside is parts availablity when you travel and potentially have a breakdown.
It is a little pricier, but decent retained value, plenty nuff HP and fuel economy, my sister has a Mercedes wagon and loves it, two kids no dog and if you do need Xtra cargo you can always put the coffin on top !!
