What facewash do you use?

I prefer Neutrogena for post-shave lotion etc. but I love Nivea's mens line quite a bit. The "Face Scrub" is pretty great. Even if you've got dry or oily skin, that doesn't really matter. It's an exfoliant plain and simple. I've had mixed results with their balancing lotion and purifying face wash.

Essentially, the balancing lotion is for shine control. Most women's products for this are in powder or blotter form, but we get a lotion? My point is that I have to use a ridiculously small amount for it to work. Think a little more than a BB for 5 sq. inches of my face. If I use too much, it doesn't absorb and is just this extra oily feeling layer which I dislike.

I've heard Mary Kay's men's line is pretty good too, but then again, one of my friends is a Mary Kay rep. Hopefully she'll order some soon, so I can get free samples. 😉 I know their Velocity line is pretty good. Useful in a pinch anyway, so long as you stick with just the cleanser/moisturizer combo.

Using burt's bees orange face stuff now. It's just ok. Better than any neutrogena / nivea / l'oreal type junk. The best stuff I've used by far was by Nancy Boy, but it is definitely a little weird to pull out a bottle of that in the gym locker room to cleanse all the sweat.

I keep it generica and as natural as i can.
-Steaming hot water to open the pores.
-Alcohol scrubb to clean them out.
-More hot steaming hot water, then Cold water to close pores.

It depends on your facial features. As black people we have to worry more about ingrown facial hair (close cut hair curls back into skin) and keloids.
I have never used razors so i dont have to worry about that, BUT i do take care. I love to have smooth baby skin on my face. Sometimes i can still look 17.

In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

OK, I hope they don't take away my Man Card for this, but...

...my wife forced me to use Origins "Checks and Balances" face wash one night. And, well, the stuff really rocks. I don't use it regularly, but after days where I feel icky, using the stuff before bedtime really makes me feel a lot better.

Of course, I'll deny ever saying that if I meet any of you IRL.

That quote never gets old. Good times!

I use Target brand (Aveeno rip off) Facial Scrub in the morning and Neutrogena post-shave lotion after I shave. At night I use Clean and Clear Mild Face Wash as it doesn't leave my face too dry at night. Also, I use Neutrogena night time moisturizing lotion before bed.

soap, i wash my face in the shower with soap, while i am taking a shower

Ditto

Thats the manly way of doing things.

Actually, last week i bathed in the lake.

noxzema something or other.. the citrus scrub something... i prefer the neutragena triple wash.. or something like that.. but i can't find that one anymore...

Estee lauder cleanser for normal skin. It doesn't dry my face out like soap so that's the only thing I use to wash my face with.

J&J Clean & Clear continuous cleanser

10% benz, so it helps keep the acne away. That + no milk + no soda mostly keeps it away.
