What excuse does Redbox have for sucking now?

I've yet to use redbox... that's what I got netflix for.
I've only been using them for 6 months and I love it.
Wish I had gotten into it sooner. I dont "need" any particular movie right now, and the fact theres a constant flow of them to my house means I often get movies before I need them. I just let 'em sit for a day until I'm ready to watch, then its already there, waiting for me.
I love it.

And the fact they have an assload of good stuff available for streaming any time I want doesnt hurt either.
I've already watched about 50 good movies and 20 bad ones over streaming. That saved me an aweful lot of money in rental fees.
Theres no way the Red Box can compete with that.

After the all-star break the Redbox traditionally struggle. Then the last few weeks of the season are filled with extra tension as they make effort for the wildcard slot.

Based on recent history, I'm guessing they cycle off their peds at this time while the Yankee's cycle on.

/I know, but, after last nights loss to the Yankeeb, it seemed like this was the topic.

😉

Studios just need to get on with digital distribution methods already. The business model of renting physical media should have ended a few years ago. It's almost there with hulu, but it just needs a bit more content.

Meh, we get free movie channels as part of FIOS promotions once in a while and I wouldn't pay for those movies regardless. I just wait for the next blockbusters to come out instead of seek out the next B movie that *might* be good at a redbox or the movie channels. I dont' have the free time I used to so I need to be sure it's good enough first.

We are severely in need of a hulu box, too. I wish xbox 360 would hurry up and make a client like they did for netflix.

LOL I am checking now and under new releases the 6th or so is Jonny Mnemonic. Unadulteratedly pitiful. Why bother.
