Whatever happened to Lola.

Are you kidding or do you not really know?

She got mad at the douches and left. I dont blame her. She's pretty, has a nice husband and a good career. She really doesnt belong with us.
In fact I think she asked the mods to close her account so her posts appear as Guest or something.

I've been a member of the forums for a long time but I'm not a lifer and don't spend a lot of time here. I'm curious as to what has happened to some of our (ATOT's) more infamous memmbers/ex-members. My initial list includes:

1 - THEFLYINGPIG
2 - Heller
3 - Neckbeard (aka Hal9000)

please feel free to add your own members to the list ...

Thanks ...

LMAO... so going five days without a HAL post creates enough of a void to prompt a 'where are they?' post?

wow you guys recall s/n's. i don't even look at them, nor care about each and every one of you. i just read the texts, sometimes view the avatar if its interesting

No, I really had no idea. I stopped visiting for a few months and when I came back, she was gone.

I too am one of the Necktarb haters on this board, but it is the strangest thing, during his banning he has posted plenty in other places and has exhibited none of the behavior that made me hate him. I post this here hoping he won't read it because I'm not quite ready to start swapping spit with him quite yet. I really don't know what this means. Do we bring out the worst in some?

Probably. I used to be a decent human being before coming here.

No, he brought it all on himself.

Last post I've seen of Jean was in May (not on a forum).

Some months ago, she sent me an illustrated poem she'd made for my birthday years ago, so she is out and about.

She gets my vote for the most literate poster here EVAH! One of the wisest, too.

Jean is a gem who has truly enriched my life and made me a better person. I still have the illlustrated poems she made for me. Her short time on the forums touched all of us and left a deep imprint on those who were here then.

I guess that makes her the Then Mother. 🙂

he went on to other ventures, you can easily find him if you wanted

I wasn't around when he left, but I remember reading a lot of his posts. I'm not looking to track him down or anything, I was just curious why he left. He didn't appear to get banned or leave on a bad note, he just had his 70,000th post and was gone. I wouldn't have even noticed, but there was a thread the other day where some mentioned him that reminded me.

I thought he started a new account and was posting under that instead?

My favorite poster here is Rubycon. I don't know her well, and she has probably never heard of me, but man does she know a lot about stuff. She is very interesting too.

Your favorite poster was Rubycon. She went bye-bye some time ago. Try to keep up. 😛

How sweet of her! She gets another vote from me for that title... Definitely one of the kindest, wisest, and wittiest posters I've ever come across, internet forum or not. She helped me through some challenging times and was kind of like the mother I never had - patient, unconditionally accepting, supportive, and encouraging.

I wish her well, she is an extraordinary woman.

I didn't know this. Lola was wonderful, such a sweetheart. I remember exchanging a few messages with her back in the day planning a meetup if I ever went back to Michigan... I haven't been back since 1999 so that never happened. I hope that she and her husband are well, she was a doll as well.
