Why attack me? I hardly play with toys. Not only was I the sole programmer on my company's online portal for loans, but I also am part of the implementation team for our hardware infrastructure. A few months ago I had about 200 monitors and pc's just picked up for disposal. I deal in tons of hardware.
As far as education since you asked, I have five years in college at junior and senior level courses, none were retakes in case you try to play that card.
If you want help it's been given...if you don't want refurb just say it please don't try and bash a reputable company over personal issues that have nothing to do with them.
Us real IT/IS guys know Dell is a no brainer for corporate and personal recommendations.
If I ever have a problem with a dell workstation I usually have the part to fix it the next day.
I don't have experience in their servers as HP/Compaq have been too good to us to change.
I support about 30 servers and until we downsized to 125 people in my division, over 250 workstations and laptops. Our enterprise totals about 5000 workstations outside of our helpdesk.
