What ever happened to the Jeopardy champ that was winning $$$?

!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!

They are doing Tournament of Champions right now then they go back to the regular season games. Ken Jennings stays on until his 75th (I think...) game and is beaten. I don't know the conditions of his loss, like whether he just wagered everything in final Jeopardy and got it wrong if if he just got beaten normally.

He never bids everything. He usually has so much money that he bids enough to make his winnings a round(er) number. I can't see him going that way ...

Nor can I, but maybe he gets tired of it at some point and just starts going for broke.

In Jeapordy it's a bad idea to let one person continue indefinitely, because winning at Jeapordy depends so much about knowing when to buzz in. Ken Jennings has figured that out, and even if people as smart or smarter than him come on the show, they are at a huge disadvantage because it probably takes half the game or more to figure out when you can buzz in.

Today's game is the closest Ken has come close to losing in a long time.

Going into Final Jeopardy, Ken had around $19k. 2nd place arond $15k. 3rd place was in the red. Final Jeopardy was looking for 2 poets names. 2nd place person answered wrong and bet around $4k and ended up with a little less than $10k. Flash over to Ken. He has this extremely worried look awaiting for Alex to reveal the Final Jeopardy answer. Ken had to bet over $10k to beat the other person. But if Ken's answer is wrong, he knows he will lose. Alex took his sweet old time to read out Ken's answer and even longer to confirm whether it was right or wrong. During Ken's entire run, I don't recall him ever being this scared that he may actually lose. When Alex finally confirmed that Ken got Final Jeopardy correct, the huge sigh of relief that Ken took was priceless.
