Post here games that you remember hoping to come out, but never did. I have couple of obscure titles that I'm betting most people don't remember.

What are some of the games you guys remember that never made it?

I still remember the original Toe Jam and Earl for the Genesis, man the game was addicting.

I did play Chakan on the Genesis. I didn't know a Dreamcast version had been planned.

I still own Toe Jam and Earl

Biggest disappointment for me was chapters 2 and 3 of Shining Force 3 on the Saturn. Sega brought Chapter 1 over so we were able to get the first 1/3 of the story.

Warcraft Adventures is the only one I can think of right now. If STALKER is delayed again then that's another one.

EDIT: Oh, and then there's Phoenix. Halo also was never really released, since Microsoft changes so much of it in the two years they had control on the project.

Star craft 2..hopefully some day they will start on this thing
TF2....lol I remember sitting in an air port with my favorite mag..PCGAMER reading an article about This game. I thought wow..this is gonna be awesome..VOICE.!? no way? And there was this cool picture of a guy with a machine gun..the kind you have to lay down or set up to use. Now..that had to be...hmmm 5th or 6th grade. I am now a college Junior..WTF!?

Duek Nukem - This has also been said to come out years and years ago..back in 1996..but no dice...UNTIL yesterday when i opened up..my fav mag again..PCGAMER...with a article on how its finnally going to come out next year with the DOOM3 engine...nice!

And i wish they would make a new SPace Quest..

Or a master of orion that didnt suck.

an old atari 800xl i had i played a game made by phillip price called alternate reality it was very addicting!!! wish it had made it to pc, there is an emulated version, but it kinda sucks....

^^ says they plan on "revisiting the starcraft universe in the future" in their FAQ. Its been there for quite a while. I hope they do (for PC) before I get too old to or stop wanting to play these games.

I bet blizzard will make one as soon as wc3 dies down. right now its still pretty hot, no sense competing with itself

Those were sweet games indeed. Blaster Master really needed a password or battery save system, though. Was a hassle to beat.

Those were sweet games indeed. Blaster Master really needed a password or battery save system, though. Was a hassle to beat.

In the entire game I only rarely ever got past the one block boss that reproduced itself. Man that thing was frustrating. Once I beat him I was booking. Without a save or anything, you had to do everything in one sitting, which was very hard.

Agreed. I remember my brother, Uncle, and I sat down one night trying to see how far we could get. I can't even think how many hours we were at it; all I know is that we killed a couple different oddly-colored frogs, and ended up dying on like the third one.
