I've been watching as much Ice Hockey as possible (that was to be expected). But surprisingly I've gotten really into women's curling.

Seeing as how I've only tuned in twice, it would have to be the luge. (The other event was downhill-bumpy-skiing-with-two-jumps).

Luge and curling. I'm not a "luge" or "curling" fan, but the commentary isn't so stupid.

Do you get the feeling that the commentators have NO interest whatever in the sports they are covering? They focus on crashes, rivalries, inane stories about the competitor's wife's father's cousin with cancer, whatever. But they don't seem to care about what's cool about the sport - if some dude makes an awesome recovery from a little slip on the downhill skiing they don't say "great recovery, that's what makes him one of the greats" but rather "ooh that slip is gonna put him behind the guy from France with the mother-in-law who recieved a monkey kidney in a transplant" or whatever.

Oops, sorry about the rant. I'd actually watch some of the other stuff if they'd shut up, and if they showed more than the top 3. I want to see more of the range of the field.

Of course, I can't wait until the ladies' figure skating so I can watch and see if any of them fall down spectacularly.

Curling and biathalon.

I dunno if it's my summers spent playing bocce and my evenings spent playing Crokinole or my love of "dexterity games" but curling is definitely the most exciting "boring sport" ever.

And Biathalon? They say it's the #1 televised sport in Europe, and I can see why.

Curling ROCKS!

BTW: They had questaionare portion during Curling on TV today. CNBC maybe? Anyways, guess what one rock costs. Wel.. $500 if you are an amature. "professional grade" rocks cost $1500! I thought that was insane.

PS: Pun intentional
