So, I need to run a line in from VHS out into my PC... record everything digitally... maybe make some modifications to the video (I have decent editing software already), and then burn it onto DVD, complete w/ a menu (doesn't need to be animated or anything).
What do I need? nVidia Personal Cinema looks like a decent option to run RCA video in into my card... but I don't want to buy that because it includes the price of a GeForce MX and I already have a GeForce3. I need some other kind of way to run RCA video inputs into my graphics card. Then I need some kind of software to read that input & record it. And lastly I need a good DVD authoring software as well...
And which is the way to go w/ the DVD burner? DVD-R? DVD-RAM? I know there are a few different ones. I just want the one that's the most standard and will work w/ the most DVD players (the home entertainment kinds..not DVD-ROMs).
Thanks for any advice on this.
