eudora 7.1 Paid version.
Unfortunately its not being sold anymore as qualcomm is looking at doing an open source version. Atleast then it will be free, and with all the features it has I think it will overtake every other windows based open source email program.

I've used eudora since it came out.
I like the fact that it places all the files it needs to run in the same directory as the program.

If I need to backup mail, etc I just copy the directory.
No fussing with my documents, or hunting down folders.

OUTLOOK 2003, and will switch to 2007 sometime, maybe. Outlook has worked flawlessly for me and my business, I depend on it to a scary degree. I tip my hat to Microsoft on this one :)

Thunderbird. Most all e-mail providers have web-based front-ends on their e-mail services, so it's not usually a problem when you want to access your mail over the web.

I've never used an email client. Back-in-the-day a puter guru told me that if I wanted to avoid getting a virus then I should avoid using an email client (especially from M$). So I never used one. I had a virus off of a P2P program in 2002 and that's it. Now they seem archaic to me and I don't understand why people use them.
