can someone recommend an email client for me at home which can do the following:

1) let me keep multiple identities
2) dload hotmail emails
3) dload RoadRunner (cable modem) emails
4) dload my own domain emails (usually, I access them thru the web).
5) let me keep contacts just like outlook 2002/2003
6) contacts should sync OK with an ipaq like h1945...
7) filter spam ( i get about 100 spams a day on my RR email and it's gotten so bad that I don't give a damn anymore)

gracias

Thunderbird with multiple smtp servers setup and multiple accounts. You'll need an external program to get hotmail forwarded (to pop3 is very common) because MS made a special protocol that can only be checked with MS Outlook. Also, I have no clue about your outlook contacts... outlook will keep them like outlook does but thunderbird is nice. As far as synch, I know there's palm synch in thunderbird.... and it's very easy to import contacts in thunderbird.

I caved in and installed Thunderbird because of mob mentality. It's been fine for me, I suppose I'll just have to run Outlook2k3 as well to check contacts / tasks / calendar.
