I need to send a file to multiple recipients but don't want all of their email addresses showing up to all the people to whom the email is for. I am currently using Windows live mail with 7 64bit and people can see who all is on the email list.
That doesn't have a BCC option? If not, I'd be very surprised. I like Thunderbird. By using open source for your client, that means your mail will never be held hostage to a proprietary format. Also, I know for a fact it has BlindCarbonCopy.
In Windows Live Mail you can use the BCC option so that no-one sees all the other email addresses.
Create the email and if you look over to the right hand side of the subject field it will say 'Show Cc & Bcc'. Click that, enter the email addresses into the BCC field, send email.
It's also usually a good idea to put a working address in the to line like your own because some SPAM filters will reject email with nothing in the to or cc lines.

My current mail client is Thunderbird, great mail I think. On the main topic, yeah you should place the other recipients in BCC fields. BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy. Recipients listed in To and CC fields won't be able to see this field.
