What email client do you use?

I know that this may be blasphemy but I'm really not all that fond of Thunderbird. I am not going to use outlook or outlook express so I was just wondering what some other clients that people use are?

I just want something that isn't a system hog.

I used Pegasus Mail, but that was quite a while ago, I don't know how it is these days, but back then it was pretty straightforward and easy on the system.

Pegasus Mail.

I've only been testing Thunderbird for about a week, but it seems to work really well. Are you using the latest version, and, what is it you don't like about it?

I've used the last 5 versions. I am currently useing the latest release. It has a crazy problem when getting my yahoo pop mail. Everyonce in awhile it will download everyemail twice. My whole archive. Its a huge pain. Every version does this. So I want to test it with another program. It seems like it an indexing problem.

i love thunderbird and multiple identities... i don't know of anything else that does it like tbird (if anyone knows, feel free to post it, I want to try it out).

mutt

But then my main mailbox is on the other side of the Atlanic Ocean. Wait, that makes it on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, too, right?

For myself, I find that Thunderbird is pretty much the only decent game left in town (at least under Windows). I gave up Eudora for Thunderbird, and would never go back. I've also used Outlook and Outlook Express at various times in the past, and I won't go anywhere near either of them anymore either. I also tried Pegasus Mail earlier this year while searching for a Eudora replacement, and the interface was so screwy that I gave up on that one too.

I kind of liked KMail, but that's Linux-only as far as I know.

I use Outlook 2003. Previously have used Outlook Express 6 and Thunderbird (this one for about a day before uninstalling it in disgust).

agreed. commercial webmail solutions look a crapload better than any freeware programs i've seen. i can't seem to remember the one mine uses though, even though I provide tech support for it...

a friend of mine loves it for some reason... I hate the interface. I use fastmail for my webmail, also very text based, but a hell of a lot nicer. gmail's UI I think is very nice.
