Microsoft Outlook XP

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention it syncs nicely with my Handspring Visor too- great client. And on the virii stuff, as long as you're not an idiot and open unknown attachments, it's just as safe as any other client. The media says it's Outlook, Chris says it's the lamebrained user.

Mozilla mail here, too. Even for work, and it's working out surprisingly well.

agreed that you have to be stupid to actually run any attachment in order to get a virus, but it seems that the flavors of outlook are inherently bad at "accidently" running vbs scripts and such. why shoudl you rely on avg catching things or making sure you don't click an attachment (both you should do anyway) when other email clients don't have the possibility of automatically opening up attachements and the like. how many times has anyone patched eudora or any of the other email clients for a security hole? anyone?? lol i think people use the outlook flavors just because that happens to be whats on the computer in the majority case...not because its a better program

Outlook Express (Windows XP's default).

Same here.

I just use a little common sense and I don't give out my email address to any Joe Shmo on the Internet.

The common sense part is easy, but it's hard to keep your email address secret, especially when you're on a few popular mailing lists like I am.

I've used Eudora for years too and it's a great program. It does what I want and it's alot safer than the MS progys.
We use Outlook at work and I like the program but I do get virii coming through sometimes even with the antigen detector.

I usually use something like a HotMail account if I need a public email address. That way everything stays on their servers (and I'd expect they have anti-virus software there anyway).

i prefer eudora because it allows me to cut and paste a whole "chunk" of email addresses into my address book and create a new group from that. unless someone can correct me, OE doesn't allow you to add them like that but instead you have to add them one by one.

Eudora Pro 5.1, been using Eudora since I started getting online, and have been upgrading to the latest versions through the years. Great functionality and less susceptible to MS oriented virii.

btw JuMpR629, go Blue! I was class of 2000 :)
