What else can I throw at my new 7800 GTX?

What's the best way to stress test this baby? I've thrown hours of 3dmark at it with no problems. The highest my GPU temp got was 65C.

Thanks,

For stress? I'd just run either that rthdribl program or that ATI stress test thing.

any newish game at full res and full AA should make any card work... maybe not 100% for that card... but that ain't easy for any card!

BF2 @ 1600x1200 (Or higher res if it lets you, can't remember at the moment) with max AA. Other than that, D3 with relief mapping.

Ack, 1280x1024 on a GTX... You can hardly stress a 6800GT at that resolution.

F.E.A.R. beta or doom 3 with relief mapping will make mince meat out of the 7800 gtx at that. :Q at least it will with transparent AA all the way up. and that's what I'd want to do on a $600 card.

That's a big negative.

Once I turn on Transparency Supersampling 8xS AA with 16x AF and crank up all the eye candy this card gets a pretty damn good workout.

I couldn't come close to doing those settings with my X800XTPE.

I'm referring to BF2 BTW.

So yes those with 1280x1024 screens can benifit from the 7800 GTX if you like to crank up the AA and max out all the eye candy.

4xSSAA @ 1280 has no visible aliasing in motion, unless of course you take screenshots and zoom.

Ah, finally... An easy question!

Buy or borrow the 30" Apple Cinema LCD monitor. 2560x1600... That should keep your card busy...

(If BF2 hits 60fps at that resolution with a single 7800GTX, then I'll buy both monitor and card)
