what dvd movie have the best surround sound effects?

Just about any special effects movie will have great surround effects. Two of my favorites are The Matrix and Starship Troopers.
 
Kiss of the Dragon has some aggressive surround use, but if you just want to really hit the bass, try U-571 or Star Wars Ep 2, or the old classic, The Matrix.
 
Saving Prvate Ryan is pretty heavy. And I second that about u-571 if you want bass. The depth charges actually knocked pictures off my wall.

I like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Actually Saving Private Ryan probably is better but it's not the type of movie I can sit down and watch any time.

Wow, that's awesome. I hate living in apartments. And having a wussy girlfriend who thinks we don't need it to be turned up so loud.
