Lite-On 401S with Black Bezel 🙂

Early firmware revisions were terrible but the latest (ES0J?) has turned this into a fantastic burner.

Currently:

Optorite DD0203 with firmware 2.30

In the process of upgrading to 8X

same as you. I'm loving mine though. 4x is plenty fast. Has burned all the - and + R's I have thrown at it and then play fine on my dvd player

coaster count = 0 🙂 (knock on wood)

Lite-On 411s/451s. I think the black version is the 451s, so I guess I have a 451s. It's the same as a 411s, though. Confusing, huh? I had a Lite-On 401s before this one and it worked perfectly too, I just wanted a dual format one.

Lite-On 411S
Firmware: FS0F

Got it on Black Friday, had a $30 GC to office depot.. So after MIR and GC I think I only paid like $50 or something..

I don't have one yet but I'll probably get a Sony one when I do. Sony drives usually support all of the available formats.

Optorite dd201, black bezel, been a pretty good drive, has a few oddities sometimes, but no coasters yet.

I'm pretty impressed with the Optorite 0203 I got now.

Nice to do HD-Burn along with DVD's, to squeeze the most out of those old CD-R's. It would be nice to see HD-Burn get a foothold, though.
