well for some obviously more than others...

I am going to be taken a class, "understanding drugs"
on of our homeworks is to write about an experience we had with a drug (any drug i.e. asprin but the implication is obviously clear)


what what have u guys done?
like it? not like it? good times? bad times?

and asprin doesn't count

Almost all of them, but not anymore. I was into that scene before crack was invented. edit: It was also pre-AIDS, and free love was to be had by all. Coke was the best, but it scared me because I like it so much.

That was 20 years ago. I'd be glad to talk about it. I'm glad I got straight, many of my friends never did, and they're in their mid-40's and have no careers, family, or nothing. Most prefer partying to anything else. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. I'm not casting stones at them, but some of these guys were brilliant during college. Now they're bartenders, car salesmen, etc.

i can tell you firsthand how bad they are. i hadn't done much of anything in terms of drugs until someone gave me oxycontin for pain, 3 months later im horribly addicted to it. i was spending all my money from my job as a network admin intern. later i had a overdose which causes a heart attack. i was 18. most people would just say "no duh" not to do drugs, but i must say take my word for it. drugs arent cool.

I tried this and that earlier in life, but haven't had anything stronger than a beer in 10+ years. I just never tried anything that made me say "Wow...I wanna do that a lot." It was more like, "Hmmm....that was interesting, but I feel like I just put a blow torch to my frontal lobe. I don't think I like that."

Sorry, but for those claiming alchohol isn't a drug, you're wrong. It functions as a depressant, it kills brain cells, alters the mental state, and impairs motor function. It may not be technically classified as a drug, but it's effects on the body are the same. People abuse it, are addicted to it, etc.

As for me, just alchohol and caffeine. I've known and hung out with a LOT of pot smokers, and probably would have tried it, except I just can't get into the whole smoking thing.

And no one I knew ever made "brownies".

I've known some peeps that were into heavier stuff, but never hung out with them.

Smoking dope was fun for the forbidden fruit aspect of it; otherwise, I think the experience is overrated.

Alcohol, of course, has been a part of human culture for millenia. It's good, it's bad, depends on how you consume it.

Nicotine is the most powerful drug I've been "on". Even after a few first-time smokes, you begin to crave it. Smoking is a pleasure but there are just too many long-term health drawbacks to be a tabacco smoker.

I've smoked weed a few times, it's pretty fun and gets me all giddy and laughing at everything.

I also drink probably every weekend, but I'm not addicted to drugs or alchohol.
